I've been waiting for it. Omega is definitely a great mod that takes a while to get into and really comes down to enchantments. At least it did in ASE. At first, you are dying to everything, even compys. After a bunch of enchanting however, you don't even need dinos, you can melee omega rexes and even bosses. Basically, first priority - make a base, gather one egg layer of each category, tame an omega common creature. Argie is always a good choice, mammoth or direwolf is a great choice and, oddly enough, kairuku was next to invincible. And get to enchanting. Even early on, an enchanted saddle with "ignore 200 damage" can make you nearly invincible... including reducing damage taken from starvation or elements. Even basic tier enchantments changed the difficulty from impossible to medium. At least that's how things worked in ASE. No idea how things changed to ASA. Long story short, this game has a rough start, but gets probably easier than base ARK after you figure it out and get some ground. Learn the dino variants, learn enchantments, learn dino variant multipliers, learn how paragon souls work and stick to common creatures, as the more often something spawns, the more paragons you can get. Which makes creatures like lystro or trilobite extremely powerful, while gigas and reapers have a huge potential you will never reach. And make ABSOLUTELY sure you have some means of identifying enemies from the distance, like awesome spyglass or omega spyglass. There are variants that are always aggro, like any of the nightmare ones or Uncontrollable. There are also variants you don't want to approach due to high aoe, like anything from Nature or Cosmic. Oh, and the best thing you can get early on that can carry you to the endgame is a Titanomyrma Soldier. You can ride it, it can fly underwater, it controls extremely well and they are extremely common. However, they are very noisy, you will get sick of their buzzing all the time really fast. And if you have any sort of loot reclaiming feature, like Awesome Teleporter, which you should... try not to die to a Zombie variant, as it will delete your corpse along with all loot.

Sadly, the soldier isn't as strong as it used to be, with variant multipliers being gone and unique saddles not in the mod yet. I've got an Alpha Solar, and if I bring it out, I'll 100% lose it.

Regarding the orb, the creature that spawns is different depending on where you use it. Standing on the ground - ground mount. Jumping - air mount. Underwater - water mount.

so basically with the set tokens you want to make a bunch of the armor ones, each armor type has different buffs and you get bonuses for more of the same type worn and then you get a complete set bonus too. it takes a minute till you get full sets though. I wont try and tell you leather is good for farming etc because that may have changed, but you will see for yourself anyway. its these armor sets, with the right matching weapon, certain chibi also (one mod added chibi is the one you want, cant remember what its called, but its some little Karate dude, it has some relevance i cant remember lol), all add up to a percentage dmg reduction and you need all of it working together to get max dmg reduction for some situations, its this depth that made me fall in love with this mod, running the scar on foot just whacking everything with a multitool is just fun

Absolutely great 1st episode, you and H defo make a funny team I hope you keep up this run as I can see this getting even nuttier.

Use the netgun instead of bolas when you can make it. And the spyglass is awesome. GL with Omega I love it. PLeas eI hope there is alot more episodes of this it will be sooo much fun to watch.

OH man, soo cool. I played Omega ascended early on, Soo amazing. Got to get the teleporters up, they will respawn you at base and you can collect your stuff and summon your dinos back to you!! Oh man, Hexenlord did this great on The center. I may have to play!! Stay away from singularity, they summon black holes. Also, anything fire, deals fire damage.

Your poor brother went from basically vanilla the island ark to center omega like a little 6 year old going from kindergarten to federal prison overnight LOL

Omega Lite is a different mod, it won't have the set armor or weapons. Lite just has the variants.

ark omega is like primal fear just far more difficult. so i guess you can say its as tough as DOX.

Don't know if it was asked yet but I'm wondering what mods you used during the playthrough and what world setting you are using for omega. I can't seem to find a comprehensive lost about how Omega should be played.

The problem with Omega is that it already had way too few players -- and now it has EVEN fewer players because it went "premium". I'll miss it, but unless it leaves premium, I won't ever play it again.
