I built this but took out the middle foundation and added a hatch frame so if someone is blocking your door ( somehow ) then you can swim under and get in the raft 😆

@@danielpercent5434 you can't place it on the raft. What you could do is placing it on yourself or on a dodo you carry and then swim up to the raft and blow that up. I did that a lot back in the days.

How many structures can you put on the boat? Is it more then the wooden one?

See I love turret rafts as a good meme for raiding water bases/bases near water, but leave it unmanned for a minute or two and say hello to my wooden raft, thatch structures, and C4 charges. And to that one guy saying it’s illegal to drop foundations on rafts, you’re on crack.

FracturedFox In a patch after this comment they did, but recently it’s seeming to work again so I’m honestly not sure. The solution to this is to just place C4 on a dead body for raft bases

How to raid

Nice one, do the turrets on the lower hatchframes shoot Leeds? I like having a keypad and pin coding a few turrets that are set to wild

They do. I made this with some personal tweaks and put in four turrets hanging from the bottom too with an airlock for accessing the bottom of the raft. Set those to wild only and tested it out. Works a treat. Mosa also have no problem following your boat so you could have one or two as bodyguards.

Koko just had the same problem, for some reason one side of the boat has a much shorter range than the other side, and it says cannot place turret too far away from platform. It’s dumb af lol pretty sure it’s just bad hitboxes on boats because wildcard for some reason doesn’t care to fix them

I plan to do some more motorboat builds and one of them is a sort of all in one boat that would be better to live on. This ones more for pvp battles and whatnot with only the stuff needed for fighting.

No mods at all, this is with the official s+ integration beta. It should be on official servers soon but you know how wildcard is lol

Open up steam and right click Ark in your library and click properties. Then go over to the beta tab and select the beta from the drop down menu. They've had it up for a month or so everyone can test it, no idea when they'll actually add it though but it should be soon

Easy way to lower foundations put down a foundation then snap a pillar just in front and then you can snap a fully lowered foundation to the side

@@Kviden it's unintended buildings mechanics. Some rules was intended on Official. Max raft size is 3x3. And lowering foundation illegal coz it's kind of "boxed dino" problem I guess. survivetheark.com/code-of-conduct/ And as I say, if u don't trust make a ticket and post it in comments. "Building a box on a platform saddled dino to completely prevent it from taking damage" On dinos, not rafts. And this is specifically because people were raiding with box quetzals so much. "Floating structures or structures that extend past normal building limits on platform saddles or rafts for PVP purposes" This is kinda up for interpretation but it's talking about extending foundations way out in front to shove into bases for pvp c4ing. Extending foundations for a larger raft or lowering it like I've done in my two boat builds isn't against the rules. It's true that it's a glitch but they literally removed it from the game for rafts at one point but decided to add it back because the community liked it so much. They wouldn't have added it back to the game if it was a bannable offense lol Not to mention the devs don't actual police the servers or enforce almost any of these "rules". The simple fact is this has been in the game for 4 years now without being removed and my tribe and I have built hundreds of boats this way and never gotten a warning or anything from the devs much less a dev wipe lol

What? No you wont lol Only if you have actual floating foundations that aren't connected to the raft. I've built like 20+ rafts with lowered foundations like this on official servers over the last 3 almost 4 years and never been dev wiped or even gotten a warning

I have a challenge for you so a while back u made an octagon 100 turrent tower keep that in mind my challenge is to make a tower that all 100 turrents are able to shoot a dino or person no matter where they are that means ypu have to mess with the ranges but make it so the only way to take it down is having to drain the entire tower completely if its not possible for all 100 shoot someone no matter where they are atleast make it so they cant just run it with a racer

Boats are completely pointless in Ark. It's too easy to raid them or just destroy them altogether. Can clip into the side with another boat, completely safe from all it's turrets and use Arthropluera to quickly take down a wall and have your way with all their stuff. (Happened to me and my boat was better than this with 40 turrets and 4 plants) Or just use a wyvern to hold a stego over the boat to tank the turrets then toss a few c4 from a flyer or shoot rockets at it to gain access. (Which is how my tribemates destroyed the turret raft that raided me, rip Inksakk.) It's literally pointless to build a raft or boat, if it's found you lose it period, much like everything else in Ark except probably the easiest to raid and the more turrets you have, the juicier it looks to raid because they want your resources and ammo AND the more work you put into it the more they wanna destroy it just to be a d***. My advice, probably the BEST Ark advice anyone could ever get, delete the fkg game and go outside. 👍🏼
