Actually, this has nothing to do with sanathan and dharma. What they are doing here PRE-DATES hinduism before it even came to India (hinduism is not indigenous to India, fyi). These are Dravidian (dark-skinned tribal) traditions/worship that existed in India before the Aryans came and brought Hinduism. Dravidians are found all over India, however, the Dravidian culture and concentration of people in its most pure form (in comparison to everywhere else) is in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu (formerly called the Madras Presidency) and a decent number of Tamil people (aka Madrasis) were brought to Trinidad & Guyana during the indentured labor period.

@@soundcheck2k7 That's a ridiculous over simplification. The "aryan" worship is fire worship done in a homa kundha. How much of modern hindu worship is fire worship? It makes up a tiny percentage of modern worship. And even the majority of brahminical (aryan by your definition) worship throughout India is Agamic. Agamic worship is south Indian/ Dravidian. Also, Dravidians aren't "native" to India (as per what I take to be your definition). They are an earlier admixture of the indigenous hunter gatherers and farmers from Iran. All of modern India is a mix of all these different ethnicities. No one is pure. And this kind of worship isn't exclusively "Dravidian". There are plenty of folk traditions in east India (and all of India) that are pretty much identical to this. And those people aren't "Dravidian". Dharma is very much a south Indian/Dravidian thing. In the earliest Sangam texts you find references to both Dharma and Karma and other "hindu" concepts. Modern day "hinduism" is a composite of wisdom and culture from all over the subcontinent and from all its peoples. A lot of the ideas of hinduism being a "foreign" religion to India stem from Christian missionaries and the colonial efforts from the last few centuries. If you can convince the hindus that their own traditions are foreign and were brought in by oppressors, it makes the argument for Christianity much easier. It stops being a stand off between "our own traditions" vs "the white mans foreign religion". Instead it becomes a choice between two foreign religions. It's nothing but a colonial construct. Also, Sangam Era was AFTER the Indus Valley civilization and fire worship is not exclusive to hinduism. The people in this video trace their traditions to South India (Tamil Nadu).
