Good luck. My family members started school two weeks ago. One kid had Covid and school was out for two days for disinfection. Just learned a teacher tested positive today and school is out again for awhile. This is fkn madness. There are no real plans to keep people safe here in Texas. I hope your governing bodies are smarter than ours.

While the kids might be safer with this virus, who they share it with outside of school is a concern!

why so many parents are worried about school is beyond me. who cares if they have to start a year late, everyone will be behind a year, thats better than burying our kids

Ryan Brown the issue comes with children and teens getting others infected. Those 100 kids were people as well, and their deaths shouldn’t be any different.

Ryan Brown I just “laughed” to try to not start any argument like this honestly. Never meant to make you upset or start anything. Your points are completely valid. We all have differing views on what’s going on in the world, and I personally just believe that kids (elementary, middle, and high school) should not be going back in person.

Ryan Brown I never said that I want children to die, that’s never okay. We have a flu vaccine. We don’t have a proper covid vaccine. More kids are dying from the flu because of anti-vax parents that won’t get their children vaccinated. I agree that we should not be rushing a covid vaccine like we are now, but once a properly tested and approved vaccine is released, people should take it unless absolutely not necessary.

In light of the SVUSD’s piss-poor decision to relocate my son to Town & Country from Bella Vista after five years, my son's scholastic motivation has plummeted. He hates school now, and if he’s just gonna flunk anyway, I was wondering if there was perhaps a mechanism through which he could catch the flunk up front before we waste his time and mine fretting over flooded inboxes, unintelligible homework assignments and droning monotonous Skype drivel.

I think not. Covid causes death by different mechanisms. Also, people with underlying conditions tend to die from Covid more often, so yeah, there's going to be more than just Covid listed as cause of death.
