Arizona's "Flathead Ed" & His Record Catfish

Eddie "Flathead Ed" Wilcoxson owns the state record for the heaviest fish ever caught in Arizona. In the early morning hours of April 12, 2013, he caught a 76.54 lb. flathead catfish at Bartlett Lake.

    Miss fishing Bartlett lake. They called it Bartlett and Pleasant so I don't know which lake he caught it in, but I miss it there.

    This is very interesting knowing I watched my dad pull out a 70+ pounder in Arizona and got zero recognition! No hate though this guy found a way to capitalize on the opportunity, my family was pulling out 40+ pounders every other fishing trip

    That is a big catfish I live in Texas and no joke me and my brother about 8 years ago we caught a yellow cat on trotline that weighed 74 lb it was 4 ft

    The Duck Dynasty crew are all good ole country folk and u would definitely have a nice fun time with them. They own a few really good spots that should have some giant fish lurking. They sell duck calls and duck this and duck that but they like to fish and mud hog and all the things that everyone else does.

    Fresh water freight trains I was able to hook one in September of 13 I've been fishing for over thirty years and let me tell you this fish had my whole upper body on fire my forearms were so tired on third run out I almost handed the rod over to my uncle to finish him off the fish only weighted 34 pounds but caught like no other the bluegills were Higón the shorelines that night at Bartlett lake in Arizona I think they knew that bruser was on the prowl feeding in the depts!!!

    ***** Fishing here in Kansas in some places is bad, especially if you live by the city, lots of spots are taken and the water quality is terrible, the more west you go, the more the water quality increases for the Kansas river. For eater size, it's only a 5 minute drive to get to a lake, so that's a bonus.
