In this video we will see how to make arisi maavu chapati recipe in tamil. This is a quick and easy roti recipe which can be made in a flash and since we are using rice flour the rotis don't need time for gluten formation. Also, this method of making rice rotis creates soft and fluffy rotis. Instead of making plain chapati we can also add stuffing to make flavorful chapati.

Ingredients:
Makes 10 soft Cotton Rotis:
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1 small piece Ginger
1 green Chilli
2-3 Curry leaves
2 tsp Oil
1.5 cup Water
1 cup Idiyappam flour
1/2 tsp Salt

I would say you wouldn't like this as much as wheat Roti. Certain grains and lentils when made into certain dishes won't taste as good. Rice is very good in Idli dosa Idiyappam. For Roti it's average.

It will taste like rice. For ppl who prefer Roti to taste like wheat they won't like this. This is more of an acquired taste. I prefer wheat Roti. Some ppl prefer Jowar Roti too. I prefer rice in the form of Idli dosa Idiyappam. Wheat is better for Roti. But it's an innovative idea. We mainly eat Roti to change from rice taste. So making that in rice too isn't gonna change the tastebud. I look forward to your dishes always though Ma'am.
