I really enjoy watching Arisa Higashino playing! Honestly speaking, sometimes she’s not really good at defense (the male players always smash across her body powerful, it’s easy to understand), she’s always so active, enthusiastic and speedy of course! The speed she runs up and down, the way she jumps to smash and plays on the net really impresses me. To me, she deserves top 1 of the world with Y.Watanabe!

I did not understand when Yuta (actually he often do mistakes too) do error everyone keep silent about it but when Arisa do some errors everyone suddenly blaming her for everything. I often saw many tweet that they point out Yuta errors or mistakes and Arisa has to carried the whole match but in youtube comment sections on bwf tv or another yt channel, i rarely saw someone praise Arisa (eventho she did amazing job). They ALWAYS praises Yuta and the silly thing is they keep pushing Yuta to find another mixed double partner 😐. I dont understand, did yall never watch Yutarisa match? Ofc sometimes Arisa defense are so weak especially when she met monster smash like Siwei, Mathias, Yage or etc. But Yuta do ERRORS TOO (and sometimes too much). But no one notice that. Why???? Arisa Higashino is one of the best female players xd. But yeah as far we know hdp and hyq of course above her but please... Respect Arisa... Just because she's not as unique as Yuta (jahanam drop shot, ankle breaker, amazig placing or etc), dont discredit her hard work...

dumb people commenting about arisa’s defence under here 😂 people, shes facing monster smashers like zsw all the time bc they meet all the time? Her defence has nvr been the problem facing lower ranked pairs, her not being able to defend wr 1-4 smashes doesn’t make her a player with weak defence, opponent just have stronger offence. I love yuta equally as much but he isn’t the bulk or tall kind of player that can place hard smashes down on opponents (etc zsw, dechapol, wyl) which makes it easier to receive directly for opponents, which may result in a comparison of defence, but that’s not fair to arisa at all. Not to mention she’s one of the only, if not only lady in the xd discipline that is able to cover back courts with strong offense and not just hit a lob and quickly go back to cover the front, that itself speaks for her skill level

people speaking about how yuta should pair with another partner, ever consider the fact that arisa’s playing style is basically a perfect click w his? her offense ability makes up for his offense and consider their chemistry as well? They’ve been pairing for more than 10 years now and would’ve probably suited each other’s playing style so well now. if they split neither of them would do better, it’s a fact. 🤷‍♀️

There are several excellent female mixed players, but she is the worst since she frequently makes blunders despite having a good rally. Yuta must change her and find a better companion if he wants to stop losing because of her.

Yet they are #2 in the world, and Arisa is a 3x All England Champion, Olympic Medalist, 3x World Championship medalist, gave Zheng/Huang one of their only 2 losses in 2022, and has been partnered with Yuta for over 12 years.

uh wow so the worst female mixed doubles partner can bring her and her partner to get one olympic medal, three world championship medals, three all england medals, one asian championship medal, one world junior championship medal and ten world tour titles? not to mention that they never got out of top 5 in the world ranking for almost 5 years

I usually don't reply to comments like this that lack evidence to back it up, but have you really watched their matches? Sure, Arisa makes mistakes, but so those Yuta. It's good that you're not a coach because if you are, you would change your pairings' partners all the times once they make mistakes, which is silly and not possible. In sports, what seems like a skill that has been ingrained into an athlete's body may sometimes go wrong because they're under intense pressure during the game. During this entire video, you can see clips of her performing well even under high pressure rallies where the opponents keep attacking a lot, yet you somehow have it in your mind that "she is the worst female mixed player". Where is the connection? It's not a problem if you want to criticise a player, but to talk badly about a player without giving concrete examples makes your comment destructive rather than constructive.
