dle511 Yes, they are the same. Lonely Arirang = Arirang Alone. The song was already performed in North Korea by Cho Yong-pil in his 2005 Pyeongyang concert.

Dr. Park “You wouldn’t know” I heard that song one off Korean movie. I loved that movie forget name but story was granny drink some magic drink and become young again and start singing old songs.

정치 색을 빼버린 오롯이 예술인 만 모인 삼지연 관현악단~ 남쪽의 유행가 노래를 편곡하여 부르는 모습이 인상 깊습니다. 남쪽이나 북쪽이나 동포의 마음은 하나같이 통일을 염원하는데... 벌써 70년 세월을 갈라져 자유로이 오고 가지 못한다는 것이... 하늘을 나는 철새가 부럽고~물 속을 헤엄치는 물고기가 부럽습니다. 아마도 저 생애에는 통일이 될 수 있을지! 기다리는 마음 恨이로다.

It would be really hard to unify those two countries together. They are heading toward different cultures. Even if they did, many people would die for that. North Korea has the military power to control the south in several months if the states did not involve. Some South Korean disrespect or look down among North Korean. If north controlled the south, many people would die for the war. If the south unified the north, most North Korean would have a hard time to live because they are not used to the competitive environment.

I have many south Korean friends some with North Korean friends. and it’s sad. This whole thing is so sad to me. Everyone’s so full of hate. And I can’t help but see these people-all of them as beautiful and worthy. I’m not angry. I don’t hate them. I feel sad. But one can’t know what they don’t know. So I hope one day they and we can all become one family, where goodness love and humanity can prevail.

Believe me the real problem is not Kim Dynasty, it is United States' and China's conflicting interests in the region. Japan and Russia are also another concern. If Korea become united and become an American base it is really bad news for China. Russia has similar motives with China.They wouldn't allow that. If Korea unifies and decides to kick the Americans in the Korean Peninsula, it is bad news for United States, they wouldn't allow that. On the other hand, if two Korea unifies they will become a huge regional power. South Korea, which is only the half of the Korean Peninsula is already a huge economic power. Now consider, this with the all possible development opportunities in Northern side. They will beat Japan in every possible aspect. And also another concern for regional powers is the nuclear missiles of North Korea. If two Korea becomes united they would have 75 million population lots of natural resources and nuclear missiles.They can become an independent and self sufficient country like Yugoslavia. Yugoslovia's strength also came from the unification idea. Under this circumstances neither United States nor China would allow such unification.

In addition to that Kim Jong Un is not like his grandfather and father. He is opening up his country and allows some free enterprises. He is also not as authoritarian as his father and grandfather. Tourists and journalists have less restrictions than before. I also don't believe that unification happens in Kim Jong Un era but he is creating the way for unification and if other problems are solved his successor manages to unify two Koreas. I also believe that his successor will not be his son. I don't know whether he wants to quit throne system or not but even if he wanted to leave his throne he wouldn't be able to do it because of his own political reforms. But this is not the concern right now, he has at least 40 years of remaining lifetime and during his reign he will integrate his country in to the modern world.

Arirang, my known adjectives are not enough to express my gratitude for this, from another world, spectacular show, from the land of "LOVE, PEACE, PROSPERITY". From BRAZIL the purest love, affection, and respect for a country that is an example for the world. PS. With respect, I never see in my entire life so many beautiful young ladies together. My God!!! Bella Athena Unified Korea would definitely be a powerful nation with no doubt. With their technology, education system, entertainment, raw talent and a incredible work ethic, they would be hard to beat. Look at how in such a short period of time South Korea (a small nation) became one of the economic power house's in the world. Go Korea!!

Сколько лет обманывали нас, кормив неправдой и обманом о Вашей отсталости?
