I am soooooo proud of Arin. It took him 14 minutes to lose his first piece. That's such great progress in his game. He also didn't lose his mind 4 minutes in. Less entertaining for us but super positive for him. Way to go Big Cat

Arin reciting the Arthur theme in a funny voice was certainly unexpected. Took me a minute then I was like "waaait a second, I know this"

Anytime they play chess I get so happy especially with this version cause Arin losing his mind while the gentle music plays makes me cry laugh

Arin immediately buying the pieces he didn’t really want to buy just for Dan was very sweet

A whole episode and Arin didn't get eaten alive by his usual chess despair-spiral, he's definitely improving. Clearly his dad was promoted to the Nintendo chess division.

When you're new to chess you're always going to lose and it will often be because you didn't notice one move out of 20. I think Arin gets nervous not about losing a piece, but viewers knowing he's not seeing something. He's gotten much better even if he still freezes up, and honestly, who cares. He's new to the game and also trying to put on a show and most viewers aren't even looking at the screen themselves. He and Dan are doing great, and the chess vids are always bangers.
