I am not Indian, i don't understand India language, but i do understand the melodies, and when a singer sings from the deepest of the heart... i have listened to many Indian Singers.... but... without hurting the other Indian singers because everyone is special and have different attributes.. but ARIJIT is def. the KING of India, his voice is like an angel voice he can drive us to the dreamland with his voice... every time i listen Arijit i close my eyes and i fly.... I remember this performance very well. Tum hi ho was my favourite song but I did not know who was tha singer of tum hi ho. I was about 14 years old, and watched indian idol religiously. When I saw this performance and got to know that this man arijit singh is the real singer, I fell in love with his voice and singing and have been a die hard fan of him since then. See, thing is you are a diehard fan of Arijit. Yes, for this era he has a craze and sings well too. But if you just look at the contestants that participated in several reality shows during 2005-2007/2008, there were more talented singers. Yes, he progressed a lot. But he, by and large sings in 'husky voice", a trend which was started by Atif Aslam, Mohit Chuhan , Kunal Gangajala .He certainly is good but lucky too that he does not have a lot of competitions. But if you hear him singing devoid of music, you will see how different it is from what sang for the movies or what he sings with Musics. When it comes to pitch, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghosal, KK have been way more ahead of him.@@SURAJ_EDITZ06
