As a 16y old girl who still gets confused but would sometimes compare it to the princess this is really helpful to hear from time to time

I like the lion king because it shows both the merits of leaving society (retreating into yourself) and the importance of coming back (sharing and re-integrating what you've become with others)

My fav disney princess was Elsa, is Elsa and will forever be Elsa. The reason for that is bc her story is about leaving everyone to protect them bc she always thought of herself as the monster and she didn't wanna live in fear but finally be free. She never did anything for a man, she always did everything for her freedom and for Anna's and Arendelle's safety, that's why I love her sm❤

Merida. Love her. And thing is, most of the disney princesses are independent, people just don't see it. There's only a few I can think of that aren't exactly independent, and they're all the old ones. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White...these are the few I can think of that aren't independent. There may be more, but not many.
