They sound like a very, very, very distant second. Personally I don't really understand it. If the other companies thought this was a money losing brand, not profitable or worth keeping, why would PFL think it's worth anything? All their fighters would have been free agents if the company folded, and none of them are popular or bring in lots of money for any business anyway, so I don't see the value of the company here.

I want the up and coming promotions to do well because it makes things better for people who work in the sport which is a good thing but the negative view of lower level promotions is that they can’t truly build a roster to be competitive to the UFC roster but will often land an elite fighter here and there that we don’t get to see compete against the best of the best. By the time the elite fighter finally makes a move over to get to see some of the fights people were hoping for they’re often no longer in their prime and results in a major letdown of what people thought it would or could be. People want to see the best of the best fight each other and multiple lower level companies is best for fighters but doesn’t lead to most entertaining product to follow so it’s not a surprise for fans to not be rooting for companies to spread top level guys out and take away some compelling fights people may want to see. It’s great for Francis to get the deal he did from PFL but closed the door for the fight with Jones while there isn’t a matchup with PFL that comes anywhere close to the excitement of fights he would have had with the UFC and it’s amazing for him personally that stinks to not get that fight and that his future MMA fights won’t be very compelling unless they can steal a huge name from the UFC. What’s best for fighters isn’t always aligned with producing the top product fans want to see.

Dana banned him for ufc events because of Ariel released info about Lesner before ufc did and Ariel spoke publicly about fighter pay. The journalists at the media days and press conferences aren’t employed by the ufc, I did not say Ariel should work for the ufc as he never has but he there’s always a way for him to be allowed to attend events and attend media events If you think about it their m long standing feud is over things that aren’t that serious and we have seen a lot worse things happen that sorted themselves out

@@MrSachattack that isn't the truth. Dana white told Joe Rogan to share the info with Ariel, a journalist, and when Ariel did what journalists are supposed to do, he banned him. It was a setup from the start to purge actual journalists from the UFC. Now every UFC media event is staffed by yes men who only ask softball questions, anyone who dares to bring up a legitimate question about anything Dana white doesn't want to talk about he tries to publicly humiliate them and avoid the question. Embarrassing stuff by Dana white. Some of us actually know what's going on. 👀
