I’m 52 I been mixing since I was 13 love it and people comment that they use the treble and bass to mix cracks me up lmao it’s all pre recorded and they are meant to be live but the cross fader don’t move and bring in the next song lmfao

Can anyone make new music these days? just CONSTANTLY for the last 10 years+ remixing the classic House tracks. Funny, these classic House tracks were ORIGINAL back then and they stand the test of time. Music so same now what will be the classics in 10 years if we constantly remix remix remix

Key mixing is not essential most of the time as a DJ, but when doing long blends with instrumentals and even vocals, it is a very important part of mixing. Unfortunately this set had terrible key clashes that destroyed the positive feeling of the tracks. A small rearrangement of the songs would have solved this, or even the use of intros/outros would have made it sound a lot better. The track selection was excellent.

I beg to differ Darren. It totally depends on ur style of mixing. For House music, the crossfader is not a requirement - I myself don't use it at all. Instead, I use the volume faders, the EQ'S and the gain knobs - or trim knobs. It depends on ur style of dj ing, and on the genre too. I haven't seen a hip hop dj not use the crossfader.... but who knows, maybe it's feasible. I wouldn't know tho, because I'm a deep house dj . Just putting it out there . Peace.
