In this sponsored video, I test out the Ariat Heritage Roper to see how it stacks up and I think it is a better value than the Ariat Rambler.

I love how when you test them out you don’t just wear them but actually use them through real work, great video! I think I’ll get some
I had a pair of these when I was 10 and they were brand new and only $25. I wore them into the ground with my foot sticking through the bottom of the sole. They were amazing and I felt like walt longmire!👍

Longmire is such a great show!
These were my first cowboy boots eight years ago. I have replaced them a few times since but this video always makes me happy.
I’ve had a pair of these for 1.5 years and I’ve beat the hell out of them. They look great broken in & feels like I’m walking on clouds. I love the minimalistic look they have, they fit just about any outfit I might wear. I just put them off to the side as I got a pair of the Boulet 4 Piece Ostriches after watching your review on those.
I love this review, you always do a true review and rundown, and the extended test is always a very good indicator if the boot's a Keeper or a Pass. Thank you JC.
I’ve been curious about these for a while now. I appreciate the review and I love the extended tests.

I am in Southern California with family in Austin. needed a good pair of first time boots when I visit them. I chose these because of your video. these are awesome boots.
Great extended test video. Nice job getting things ready for winter. You are quite the outdoorsman. Well done 👍
This just may be the best looking boot I've ever seen in action. Perfection. This should be how all boot reviews are done, showing them in their natural habitat so to speak. In this case, it's a no B.S. roper meant to get shit done. I need to give this boot another look and try a pair on.
I just got my pair this evening...breaking them in now! Thanks for this review Jeremiah!
I've own a pair of these for 8 yrs and only had to do 1/2 sole repair. I wear them ALL the time. I own many other pairs of boots, but for knocking around on the property and doing any task, these things are so comfortable!
Your video was so convincing I just bought a pair !!!! With Kind regards from France !!! Take care. Kim
good looking boot, I used to have a pair, it was so good that I got tired of wearing them after 4 or 5 years and gave them to a friend of mine, they were my every day boot and they are good for those guys who don´t want to stand out wearing very flashy cowboy boots (I love flashy boots), they look like a casual shoe, but you can still get the feel of a true western boot.
These were given to me as a gift by my mother for Christmas in black. I think the shape of the toe is perfect, not too wide like most ariats can be. The height is perfect too.
Great video! The boots are amazing and I can't believe how good they look after all that work on the ground!

I'm about to get a pair of these. Thanks for the review!
I just bought some today! They’re so comfy! Great price as well.

Another great video!! I like the extended reviews ! Peace out bro!
I just purchased the same pair 13 EE. Very comfortable. Money well spent.
That's a great review Jeremiah. I've had a pair of Heritage Ropers for 5 years. They are my motorcycle riding and beater boot. With only occasional cleaning and waterproofing they are holding up well, and looks like they'll last a few more years. I've replaced the insoles twice, but the Duratread heels and soles have only moderate wear.

Still rocking the ramblers proudly 😂
I actually plan on getting both the roper & rambler but trying to decide whether to get a whole or half size smaller. Thanks for this valuable information!
Nice splittin’ there Tex. 👍🏻 That’s a solid lumberjack swing.
I had the Sierra work boots, very similar to these almost identical, I got them in 7th grade and wore them until my senior year in high school. They were tough as nails I wore them for cutting grass, hiking, hunting, construction work, fishing, you name it.
I always thought I wanted these boots. Now I know I want these boots.
I have these in black, and I’d like a pair in distressed brown too. I bought 11.5D earlier in the year, and in hindsight, I should have bought 11.5B or 11D. For those looking for the B widths, Amazon carries them, and when they’re in good supply, they’re even available to try on in their Prime Wardrobe program.
Thanks. I've been thinking about picking up a pair. 👍
These are damn good boots. I've had mine for years and can't kill 'em!
An ol’ timer once told me, “Never skimp on your shoes or your mattress; when you’re not on your feet, you’re on your back.” Talked to a boot smith out SE of San Antonio, he said as Ariats and other mass produced boots have the soles and heels integrated in the molding process, he had no way to re-build when need be. I lean towards Olathe these days.....Paul Bond makes some incredible boots..... Don’t confuse VALUE with CHEAP; a boot of VALUE might have a high up front cost but can be re-built and last 6-8 years, while a CHEAP boot will have to be re-bought 3-4 times per year. You get what you pay for.

I’ve had two pair. Love them.
got a pair in melbourne australia a few weeks ago $220 , very happy with them
Awesome videos! I recently bought my first pair of adult boots. I hadn't worn boots since I was a kid when Justin had every single color in their roper line in the 90's and I wore brush poppers with my black ropers. I had trouble finding a pair that fit the way the sales people said they should. I ended up getting the Justin stampede. Do you not make videos of custom boot makers often? There are two custom boot makers i was hoping to get some knowledge on. One is Paul Bond boots Co in Nogales, AZ and the other is Stewart boot manufacturing Co in South Tucson, AZ. I know the price goes up considerably which I wouldn't mind paying if its worth it over store bought boots. Both of those makers have been around over 50 years. Thanks for guiding me with ariat insoles and how to condition boots!
Big Ariat fan Have bought enough to have my sizing down Really liking a couple pairs Two 24 I’ve got recently And you’re probably not into the Chelsea style but I got a pair of the Ariat Recons Which are a western style Chelsea with wedge sole Super comfortable and leans towards that work style a bit
Thank you on the pictures it didn’t look like the black was small but they look good
Great review, the Bills shirt was the frosting on the cake
Really enjoyed watching your review, even though you’re sponsored by Ariat you don’t let that affect giving an honest review of the boot. I also like how you weren’t afraid to put them to work while shoveling coal.
@JeremiahCraig

Thanks! I try not to let it affect the review. Ariat is not even close to my favorite brand, they know that and yet they still support my channel. I respect that a lot. My favorite part of these videos are the extended tests! That's how you learn the positives and negatives.
I just picked up this boot today. I was just looking for a simple around the house yard work boot. Perfect timing with this review. Glad I found it. The boot I picked up says it’s “distressed brown”. Does this mean I need to use a specific type of conditioner for it?
Love my ramblers, but, may try some of these
Both are good boots but me I love the look and feel of the rambler it's simple, unique and super comfortable. The ropers look good and the stiff leather isn't a bad thing but at this point it's like what do you prefer Ford or Chevy
I like that boot and it's look. You cleaned it up pretty nice after the coal and mud.
I just ordered a pair in black. Mainly because I don't have any black foot wear at the moment and wanted something simple.
I have that same shirt, 😂 I love that place You're convincing me on these
Yay I love the video, ride ‘em cowboy 💪🏽☮️😎
Hello all! For someone who is a new Texas resident and doesn't do anything where I need a WORK BOOT, would you say this is still a good-looking boot to wear with jeans, a button-down, and a vest? Maybe going to the family ranch, out to dinner, or hanging out with friends. And I also love that these are the ones that Walt Longmire wears and ONE DAY I hope to go to Longmire Days! If these might be too casual/plain for wearing out, I am also looking at the Heritage Roughstock in Oiled Brown. Appreciate the help!
@JeremiahCraig
3 жыл бұрын
I would qualify these as more of a beater boot. You can certainly use these for the situations you have in mind but I also think there are better options depending on your budget. For more casual occasions, I prefer a leather outsole. It's a sharper look. Roughstock also has a rubber outsole but it will probably look better than the Ropers for casual wear in my opinion. I think Branch wears some kind of Roughstock in Longmire too
Might have to try a pair.
These are going to be my first cowboy boot and I’m more worried about the jeans because I watched your videos about jeans but I’d like some people’s opinions about this boot and any jeans
I have just bought a pair of these 2 days ago. My first ever Ariat boot and i love it. Just a shame that in New Zealand they are $349 NZD.
Hey love your videos. I have the exact same boots. We have a similar body type and was wondering what cut of denim jean you wear with your boots.
I like those ariat ropers, and honestly most of ariat boots. Probably because they are comfortable. On that note, what work boot with either steel or composite toe would you recommend for a good long work day? I value your honest opinion, thank you and have a good night.
Yes they are awesome
Loved your review. What boot would you recommend with a leather stacked heal and leather lined that is similar to that heritage roper? Thanks
For some reason I can't get into the roper style but I get why people like them. Also I'm thinking about the Tecovas square toe for my next boot cause to me it's a large snip toe. What do you think Jeremiah?
Really enjoyed this video! I bought a pair of ropers because of your review. I was wondering if you could tell me what products you used to condition these though so I can keep my looking good. Thanks!

I bought a pair 10 years ago when there was some quality, my sons wore them as well, after years of leather dressing, the leather is still as hard and stiff, recently I went to get new ones at the Ariat store in Brisbane Australia, I thought the quality was lacking, so I passed, it just felt to fake, so I bought Boulet instead. In fact I have a pair of Boulet challengers that are so much more comfortable than Ariats plastic fantastics.
You should get some heritage rough stock and show us how they are with work

I like these boots for work. I'm a state trooper and bought some black ones for a uniform boot. Very, very comfortable. Only other work boot that fits me as well is the RedWing Nailseat, but they don't come in black. I bought some of the Heritage in distressed brown because of the comfort for an everyday knock around boot too. I'm a simple guy and like the simple look and I don't know if you can beat them for the price for that, but I DO NOT like that they are made in CHINA.

I have cowboy boot that have a design that lift off of the leather. I was wondering how do I preserve the elegant design
I recently got my first pair of Ariats, I got the hybrid rancher in drestressed brown. It is a square toe and I love it, it's a good boot. A buddy of mine got a pair last year and still just as comfortable as they were at first. And I was wondering how you feel about this boot??

Nice! I think this is a comfy and simple boot. One of my favorite Ariats
I bought a half size down from normal size , 10.5 instead of 11, in these and they are real tight in the middle and arch area. Will that part stretch enough to comfort? Uncomfortable right now and kinda hurt my feet. Ive heard Ariat runs a little big so I went that route but considering sending back. 11 seemed a little big. Is it better too have too tight than a little big?

I'd love a pair of these but, they're difficult to get in the UK shops and the sizing is an issue when buying online
I just ordered these and used their size chart they fit pretty good but my big toe doesn't have much room and touches not the front of the boot but the top of my toe. Is that normal it kinda sucks
I have the Ariat Sport Squared Toe I think it’s called. Are Ariat sizing all kinda standard or should I go to a store for this?
Hey Jeremiah, love all the videos! You’re always my go-to when I want something to watch. This channel brings me joy haha Just have a question and I wanna know if anyone else came across this with this boot. I wear a 9D, that seems to be my exact size because every single other boot of mine is that size and it’s perfect. I bought these exact Ariats (9D) used from eBay and I cannot get them on for the life of me. My foot cannot get past the shaft to make the turn. Just kind of confusing to me, especially since this doesn’t seem to be a problem that anyone else is having with this boot. You even mentioned in the video that you sized down a half size, now I’m even more confused. Just wanted to know what you think! Thanks
@JeremiahCraig

Do you recommend a brand for the snow/waterproofer you use?
Can you make a stetson outlaw biker boot review? :o (I want to see your opinion) Love your channel btw
I wish I liked the look of these boots better, they just look like cheap disposable boots to me compared to the Rambler. But good presentation and the beard looks good bro!!
What do you use to condition and snow proof your boots?

I love mine.
Ariat boots with heels attached to the soles, most cobblers will not attempt to put new heel lifts on them, hell lifts wear down much faster than the soles do. I have a pair Ariat Legends that I am going to have to deal with this. At least on my Quick Draws, the heel lifts can be replaced.

So I just picked up 2 pairs of these from Boot Barn online, a size 12D and 12EE, wasn’t sure which I needed. Got them both in but there are differences. Great boots. Got my pair used from eBay for $35. Pretty sure the gentlemen I got them from only wore them home and forgot about them in the closet. Mine are the Sedona model. Same thing except in black. I love Ariat but they are not my favorite. I'm more into the flashy boots from Corral. Ariats are my shit kicking, casual wear.
