I think that is just green buffing compound that is used to strop knives they put on the outsole.
That Ariat boot is one of Ariats Best Looking boot in my opinion' 👍👍
I love your reviews but very few of your boots I would describe as Dress. Something like an Alden Cordovan with leather sole or a Lucchese Croc, Ostrich or shiny calf would be dress I feel. This with the heavy grain and square toe box would be smart casual I think. Likewise, any oily finish leather I would not consider dress. My reference comes from working for Austin Reeds in the UK when I was at college in the 1980´s in their shoe department where they sold Churches and Cheney as well as Moreschi Italian Loafers. Keep up the great work.

ianmedium I would agree with you 100%, except that today people get dressed up in jeans and a blazer and it's acceptable in many places. these could definitely be dress boots as well as smart casual.
So how did the soles hold up? Love the shaft color and stitching, as well as the contrast of the sole. BUT...lots of complaints of extremely quick sole wear. Hesitant. Thank you, excellent review.
They should include the black sole option.
This may as well be the perfect boot for my style, but the leather sole has me iffy. what you you think Boot guy? I do a lot of walking and working in my boots... what's the comfort level b in these???
I have a pair of Ariat Tobacco Westerns and they are green up top too and i love them i just need to break them in more. But i went half a size down on mine and i see people saying they are true to size but mine don’t hurt my feet and my toes have room so do you think i made the right choice or should i try true to size for my next pair?

TheBootGuy i hadn’t specified, that is on me. The boot is by Ariat. And yes sir, not a problem. Thank you very much for the reply! Lucchese’s are some wondrous boots I might add.
If these are like the ventek then they are super comfortable. I used my dremel tool to remove the white paint on the sides of the sole. That's the only thing wrong with these boots.
Dress boot hell I would wear those every day. I don't understand where you're getting dress boot from

Maybe, If you're going to wear a cushioned sock or just check the boot for shape sections on the bottom.
Would these hold up? I need durable boots since I wear them everyday and work hard on them. But I really like the devil tan ones but I don’t know if they are durable.

Looking for most comfortable boot for Pipefitter ,any suggestions? I have tried several most hurt my feet . Thanks 12-14 hr days

If you’d have mentioned the price which I’m sure we all would have liked to know and we had come to expect that’d been nice! But you didn’t so this video was almost pointless. Ugh 😑

Rich Self I just picked up this very boot at the Huntsville, Alabama store for $235.43 and that store does give a military discount. Hope that helps.
