I had never heard this song until I watched the Netflix documentary last night. Literally it was the first time I watched/heard it and I was sobbing and I didn’t understand why until I watched it again (and cried again) The vocals, the Beautiful strings, the giant moon... it was so overwhelmingly beautiful. Ariana’s music has never made me cry before, so this is easily EASILY my favorite song of her’s and it’s not close.

Adelaide Ang Yes. Supporting her belts means she's using good vocal technique, and it doesn't come off as 'screamy'. Her belts sound more full and less shrill.

I do too! I saw her live singing it and I cried holy water the whole way through. It was so godly I felt cleansed and reborn I think she freed me of all sin. I'm officially an Arianist, Arianism is my religion. I can't wait for audio bible part 3 aka moonlight

I adore this version

if you compare her earlier performances of this song, it's hard not to notice how much she's improved since then. Her voice has become much more powerful, deeper and confident. This performance is simply the best. Mindblowing vocals and high class range!
