It’s funny because when singing you’re taught to use “awww” wherever you can. It’s believed to sound more professional. But it got in the way of understanding her...I am glad she found a happy medium.

I feel like she used to degrade her voice on purpose to make it more marketable and "teen pop" ish. Cause she sang Broadway early in her career which would definitely encourage good diction. But recently I feel like she isn't trying to sing with that marketed tone anymore. But maybe I'm just cRaYzy

Ben’s Edits lmao you’re not CrAzY. It was definitely a stylistic choice of hers to slur her words. A lot of singers do it to give the song more emotion, like Zayn for example. The problem was that she slurred every single word and we couldn’t really understand her lol. And she probably heard the negative feedback and that’s why she’s doing much better now 👍
