This is the real Ariana that more people need to see imo. Her radio songs are actually really good and catchy...but they don't give her the vocal credit she deserves. Mariah & Whitney started their career with earth shattering power ballads that made people stop their cars and hear their songs. Ari can sing her ass off. She has the potential to be something extremely special . Yes she needs to work on her pronunciation, diction, and being clear . Her pitch and everything else are fine . People like to be stuck in the past by bringing up Whitney and Mariah, saying she'll never be as good . Well back then when Mariah and Whitney first came out they were compare to Chaka and Aretha and people said they would never be as good . Let Ari have her shine .

+Danayae Dowling I think the person is saying that she doesn't really add emotional content to her own songs and instead basically tries to imitates the tone of artists. The greats didn't really do that despite who they were compared to. Their styles and tone were usually pretty distinctive. Once Ari can do that, she'll be on her way to a much higher status. As of now, she is a person with a really high talent level and singing ability which is certainly a start. A lot of the legendary artists became well known for their live acts with stage antics, different renditions of songs and all. Ari just needs to find a sound.

Has anyone notice how weak her voice is? Like it's really HIGH but yet soft? When she sings live (I'm not talking about her concerts since the stadiums are inundated with speakers everywhere, maxed out at their highest volume levels)? +Zeanna Nguyen untrue? her voice has a light, airy, girly sound because she's a light lyric soprano but her voice is most definitely not weak? when the mic sound went off at her concert in brooklyn during "right there" from the first few rows u could still hear her voice over the audience singing

Many people still critisise Ariana's voice, exclaiming her voice is nasally and that her pronounciation of words is bad. How ever, no singer has a perfect voice. I doubt that most people could sing like this. That in it's self is an accomplishment. She is great and specialises in what she does. Ariana has a fantastic voice and no few flaws can take away the fact that she has a amazing talent.

I love her too you know, but she has a long way to go before being "legendary." It takes years of practice before being legendary! malina balina it is extremely unhealthy for your vocal chords to do a vibrato if it is not natural. Many singer's vocal chords get ruined because of it.

Stop comparing her with Whitney. Ariana's voice is so perfect and amazing the way it is. Shes much more talented than the so called "Artists" these days. So if you say shes not unique and talented at all and whitney is "so much better" then why are you still watching this like a year later? exactly what i thought. I think that Ari she not focus so much on dancing and do more singing like this. Like how she does her performance for Tattooed Heart, more of those. We care more about the singing then the dancing, she could still dance but not as much, we want to hear her powerful vocals and whistle tones that we all know and love
