This Actually happened with little mix power song, someone put it on youtube 7 years ago and it was released 6 years ago. There was only one year apart

Ariana just said in an interview this was a demo meant for someone else for a tv show that wanted a 90’s almost-cheesy kind of pop song. Knowing that, my guess is this was originally meant for The Idol on HBO- Ariana’s collaborated with the Weeknd in the past, and Lily-Rose Depp’s character in that show was being marketed as the next Britney-esque pop girl. But the show absolutely tanked and makes me think they walked it back. Just a guess!
