Henry Cavill needs to fire his agent, Bryce Dallas Howard is prime to be Buffalo Bill's next victim, and- this is painful to say- Sam Rockwell is an 11 on the simp scale.

    I'm surprise no one mentioned a movie called The Lost City played by Sandra Bullock with a short cameo Brad Pitt. The story is the same like this one. An author who somehow ended up in unexpected situation. Got kidnapped and there's action too.

    The Lost City was infinitely more entertaining than Argylle. Would watch that again over this any day. Pitt’s cameo and short action scene is worth it alone.

    Thanks for saving my time. This channel is fast becoming my go to for film reviews. You two are in that sweet spot of not too geeky, not too filmsnob or too normie. You're like the best regulars at a video store. The Rainbow 🌈 score is nice, but not the sole focus or overpowering, unless it's insufferable.

    You know who I felt the sorriest for? It wasn't Cavill, he's only 40 and still has 20 years to catch up to Pitt, which he's certain to do -- he'll be fine. It's Cranston. Hollywood seems to favor SO much sociopathic, back-stabbing nonsense, and Cranston has such a reputation for not being that kind of corporate do*che-nozzle, I'm sorry to see his talents and time wasted on something like this.

    Yeah, when he popped up in this generic villain role it just felt like this is all he does now. He bounces around from mediocre to bad movies in small roles and collects paychecks.

    Yeah it sucks the movie was as cheap as it ended up being. I like the train fight scene and the smoke dance-fight hybrid. There's glimpses of what could've been a perfectly acceptable campy spy movie, but yeah the reveal gave me serious whiplash.

  • @hardcutreviews

    @hardcutreviews

    The train scene had a glimpse of what could have been. There wasn’t enough visual distinction between Rockwell and Cavill swapping in the fight. That concept could have been way cooler. And the smoke scene could have been cool if it didn’t look so bad, lol.
