The puzzle has me so intrigued!! I’ve never tried one like this with just 2 colors. My suggestion would be to sort out the all green pieces and all black pieces. Or mostly green and mostly black. Then have a 3rd pie where the 50/50 black and green pieces are then work your way around the border. If you know the section is mostly green you can pick from that pile first... then when you get to a mostly black section you pick from those pieces... might help you sort through them quicker.. or that’s just my OCD trying to make you organize them all lol 😂
