Argentina Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Argentina.
Argentina is the second largest country in South America and a captivating land of tango, adventure and breathtaking nature.Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and the most European city in South America with buildings that are reminiscent of bygone times. The mighty Plaza De Mayo is the historic heart of the city, along with the presidential palace, the Casa Rosada and the Catedral Metropolitana. Today the tango is performed in each corner of the city and in the nineteenth century poor immigrants from Italy and Spain settled in Buenos Aires. This explains the fiery temperament and deep melancholy that is expressed by the dances and is evident with each flick of the leg. In what was once the red light district with its whore houses of colourful corrugated iron taken from numerous ship wrecks, the tango was born. We visit an estanzia, a feudal residence of the beef barons who once settled on the endless plains of the pampas and who built their farmhouses according to the rustic designs of the nobility. From Salta Station we begin a fascinating train journey on the Tren A Las Nubes, the “train into the clouds",.which will climb to more than three thousand metres above sea level along one of the highest railroads in the world. The Los Glaciares National Park is a mixture of lakes, glaciers, mountains and untouched wilderness yet despite the harsh climate the local vegetation captivates due to its diversity. Our journey comes to an end. From north to south, through cities and pampas to glaciers and mountains, Argentina is a dream destination come true!

The African population used to be more than 50 percent of the Argentine population, and there used to be more black people in Argentina than in Brazil, Argentina committed mass genocide against its African population, and I personally would never set foot in Argentina. Argentina from 1868 to 1874, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, undertook a genocide' that wiped out the Afro-Argentinean population to the point that by 1875, there were so few Black people left in Argentina that the government didn't even bother registering African descendants in the national census. Tellingly, Sarmiento wrote in his diary in 1848: What is [to be] done with such blacks, hated by the white race? Slavery is a parasite that the vegetation of English colonization has left attached to the leafy tree of freedom,” - International Business Times. imagine they killed half their population. the land of Argentina was fertilized with the blood and bones of Argentina's former African enslaved population. the food that grows in Argentina, and the grass that grows, for which the cattle graze on, was fertilized by the blood and bones of, its former African enslaved population, that unique taste that you taste, when you eat food grown and grazed in Argentina, is the blood and bones of your former enslaved people. African slaves built Argentina, and then the former slave owners paid back the slaves for the great works, toil, and effort, with mass genocide, the most complete and comprehensive genocide in human history.

Gabrielle Chénier Dont go to la boca district. Its a "villa de miseria" (slum) with better paint. Just that little part shown "caminito" is OK, but you have a lot of beggars trying to get a few pesos from the tourists. I am going back too in late August, late winter early spring, yet the nisperos(loquats-nespoli) are ready. Ive been to Sante Fe, Mendoza, Buenos Aires Province and Chubut if you have any questions or want recomendations

MYacono are you a River Plate fan per your avatar? You seem to be biased. Boca is the old harbor area and home to River Plate's arch nemesis Boca Juniors. Even though it might not be the prettiest part of town it is still one of its biggest attractions and tourist draws so I would still recommend it. Have a good time Gabrielle!

+MYacono Have you been in a real slum? It's a place were genovese immigrants settled as they could and it is preserved for that reason. The colorful house is actually because sailors use to borrow the paint and it was never enough to paint a complete house. It's a place prepared for tourists and nice place to visit.

I like how the narrator has a note of "dwarfian comedy" in his laugh when saying "crafts" of Cafayate at around 27:19. Sounds like he's momentarily about to burst out laughing, I love it. There's a suggestion of something hilariously maniacal or menacing about the narrator's subject matter...

+tarny11 Depending on the zone, the south is cold the whole year, Buenos Aires is hot in the sumer (35°C could be reached) and cold in the winter (-3°C could be reached) the NorthEast is usually hot, is the hottest zone in argentina, northeast is arid with big differences in the temperature between the day and the night. Think, it's the 8th biggest country in the world, the temperature varies a lot depending the zone.

MYacono not a must....a must is corrientes avenue and it's theatre plays....a must is the colon theatre, la recoleta, puerto madero, the zoo, it's beautiful buildings all around the buenos aires, bosques de Palermo, and all, all the city is beautiful and vibrant and full of culture. Buenos aires is a spectacular city but football is just the down side of it.....although you can feel football in the veins of everybody. I personally would leave that aside and focus on the cultural aspect and the incredible carisma of it's people...people from all over argentina...nice educated people which you'll enjoy every moment having conversations with them....i love argentina and iI'm visiting again in a couple of months.

Jay Young I think because of its distance from BA . Flying from Aeroparque to Bariloche isnt cheap. Its much easier and economical to go to Mendoza for example, plus the wine industry is very famous here . It is definitely a nice place and is in my itinerary for my next trip. Rta 40 Neuquen,, Rio Negro, Chubut and Santa Cruz . Ive been to Chubut before but by Pto madryn (I LOVE IT!) you must eat at La Piedra Pizzas by Dorrego and Perrito Moreno 54 9 280 451-1666 BEST pizza and Faina

Ok...came back again 1 month ago....this time drove from bsas to city of corrientes via rosario and drove back through entre ríos....great experience and met a few incredibly nice people, now good friends. Then went to Bariloche and did some snow skiing. Also made a trip around the lakes. I can only describe my trip as one of the most rich travels I've done. Argentina's strength is that it's simple and unpretentious yet full of LIFE, beautiful landscapes, educated people, outstanding cultural LIFE and many other things. I'm planning on moving to a cattle estancia there in a few years.

Mariana Lovison Buen punto.

Gracias, Gabriel. Que le vaya bien.

Trying to figure out why you would pronounce Argentina’s capital as “ Bonnos” when anyone with even the slightest knowledge of Spanish, know it’s pronounced “ Bwaynoss”
