@@Darkos88 i think his boss is pretty fun maybe not the shield taunt part, cuz that just punishes supports. On a different note. Have you seen the Aventurine boss in the divergent universe? Its finale phase has the gamble mechanic slightly changed where everyone needs to help get to a really big number, I think that was awesome. Just wished it saved me an extra hour during the story😭😭

Aventurine's "It's all or nothing!" manages to give me literal chills every single time! When I was fighting against him in the Forgotten Hall I didn't restart even when I knew that I wouldn't get 3* just to listen to this god-like voiceline. (⁠*⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠*⁠)

I’m just sad we never hear him because he’s easily one of the better actors in penacony cast

Yeah, especially in version 2.2, the moment was really strange, like seeing Argenti mute and not moving his mouth at all.

Weird thing was, for mine Argenti’s eng voice was working perfectly fine even during the cut scenes and just dialogue scenes

@@asoretI don’t think it’s quite like the Tighnari-Situation, both parties here seem in agreement and I wouldn’t speculate on something as grave with no further evidence. My guess is that he did record the voice lines and that there was some issue either from a technical standpoint or that his delivery was not what Hoyo had in mind. What many don’t realize is that VAs don’t really get told much about what they’re voicing, it’s not like they’re lip-synching to pre-existing game material, so sometimes, there can be a disconnect. Famously, the Neuvillette VA didn’t know much about his character when he recorded the attack lines, and when he wanted to re-record Hoyo declined, which is why our orderly judge now goes “Hoah! Shuhaa! Hoooo!” In combat.

I was actually so sad when I didn't hear his voice again😭 it fits him so well and it's so beautiful but it's good to know he isn't being replaced and that he's okay. GIVE THIS MAN HIS RIGHTS BACK😭

Don't worry, his work is good and he fits the character well, so he won't be replaced by anyone. And yes, this is Hoyoverse's fault for not fixing this bug for two patches, so the voice actor shouldn't be affected in any way.

Honestly, my gut tells me it could be contract stuff. The fact both parties have said that Argenti's voice will be added in a later patch helps me believe that. Whether it be a contract between Mihoyo and the talent directly, or if some contractual middle man (e.g. the recording studio or agency) is holding things up we'll probably never know. Either way, love his voice and hope to hear him again soon!

as someone who enjoys the story when there's suppose to be voice acting it becomes weird because everyone else is voiced

I am not a game dev but if it's taking this much time then it is probably not a simple issue. They are not gonna mute characters on purpose they pay them for this.

Finally someone brings this up!!!!!!!! Thank freak but hear me out, it's too late to fix this, the moment the lines were displayed in game. Reason is that: if you played the missions and noticed or even complained that Argenti doesn't have a voice, this "fix" is irrelevant cause if you already noticed this, that means you played the missions and since you did, you can't replay said mission (you can't replay any mission for that matter) it's more an afternote than it is a "fix" the only people who can benefit from this "fix" would be new players who didn't even knoe about this to begin with

That said, disappointing as it is, I can sorta understand if it's a low priority bugfix in their development and correction schedules.

​@@asoretaudio stuff is probably harder to fix - I remember in another game, not Hoyoverse, but there was an issue where the audio wasn't matching up to the cutscenes or the gameplay and it took them like a month to fix it. It's probably because they want to get the story done and just fix some stuff later on.

Yes, that's absolutely right. It seems that everyone using the English voice will be affected in the same way. I also thought my game was broken because his voice was missing, but after restarting, it turned out he was indeed mute.

That is honestly really sad to hear. Since most stories are a must-do before being able to participate in an event, that means the majority of us will be unable to experience or hear it unless someone makes a new account and puts it on KZread for others to listen to it. The fact it's still not fixed in version 2.3 already upsets me. I haven't started the story yet and already feel disappointed man ;-;

I don't play EN audio, but Argenti's EN voicelines is probably one of the best in the game (whether it's the boss or the playable one). It's just sad that they didn't add his voice once again in the new update.
