This song is so “for real!” Her voice is so strong and beautiful. She is one of the first “Soul music artist” that woke me up in the mid 1960’s. We could stay up a little later if “ Aretha Franklin “ was performing on any TV show. It seemed like my brother Raymond and I always had money for a “ 45 record “, now that is back in the day.

YES yes Yes, l remember them good old days. We would run down to the record store soon as we heard it a new song that we liked on the radio. That's back when there were only a few black Superstar soul singing artists : Aretha, James Brown, Marvin, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Staple singers Diana Ross & the Supremes, Al Green, BB King, Temptations, 4 Tops etc. And all these Superstar artist represented Class & no ignorance. Going to the family reunion - family of all ages listened & loved the same music. There was no separation of music bcuz of ignorant cursing like in hip hop. Whatever dirty laundry we did in the street stayed in the street & wasn't prostituted to the world as representative of black people in the name of a once positive but now turn ignorant hip Hop music culture
AF music was far beyond her time. A legend. What an amazing woman, voice of an angel and lioness. 😇💗
