I still love this performance Queen was in top form. And to those that keep talking about her not looking at him and gave him a hug. You might want to watch the entire show because she looked at him several times. Also there are pics from them rehearsing she was looking at him. So cap the crap!

Yes seemed awkward

Very lovely duet. They absolutely blended well together. That being put forth.... A) Aretha most certainly did not look at Sir Tom in THIS particular duet. In fact it looked extremely awkward considering the nature of the song. It's hard NOT to see this dynamic. B) Franklin( RIP) was always a peculiar person who could be off putting at times. C) Later in the program they bonded quite well and the chemistry was more prevalent. D) Sir Tom was always and still is gracious with other vocalists. He was definitely on par with Ms. Franklin and at some point over the years She even made the comment that Sir Tom was a distinct performer with a very singular voice and vocal ability.

@@sandramoore2129 Hmm, why so? The reason I ask is because I've heard mention over the years of her husband at the time, being a very controlling individual. I did not place much stock in this simply because It came across as simple word of mouth hearsay. Now I wonder on reflection if there may be some validity to this 🤔

I read one of the comments sometime ago, about blacks wasn’t allowed to make eye contact with white people while doing a duet together So I decided to research to see if it was true , and yes it was. Also a black male group was on stage performing and the group was only allowed to make eye contact with the audience in the balcony because that’s where the black people were sitting. I didn’t realize that was the case, I thought Aretha was being rude. 😂 They both are great singer.

The Queen is a shy person plus you should watch the other duets that they did on that show she looked at him.

WHY she don´t have visual contact with him?

She absolutely would NOT look at him. She was almost that way on an earlier visit, but IMO apparently he was hitting on her and she wasn't having any.

I think inadequate to him(not vocally)but bodily

She never looks at him. hmmmm
