Baby when i tell you her song "A rose is still a rose" is also my favorite song from her!!! Well it's actually the only song i listen to from her, thanks to my mom. I was 11 years old crying to this song!! I was a short chocolate fat girl with a Jerri Curl! The one boy that i liked only liked me for my snacks. While my brothers were playing with Pokemon cards, I was in the living room with my momma, in my feelings listening to this.

I have the utmost respect for Aretha she was a "Sanger Sanger" young to her end. My fav are: Until you come back to me, Jump (Sparkle), Jump To It (Luther on backgrounds), Rose is still a Rose, her version of Amazing Grace get the sheet and smelling salt, her voice can NEVER be matched. Who steps in for the most reverent opera singer and slays. Yet sometimes I just wonder would it any different if those with deep rooted trauma such as Aretha, Marvin, MJ, Whitney so many others were healed. What she experienced... this why parents need to healed from there own trauma and vises. Even though I don't completely blame them, because she did have destructive ways. Yet she will always be a the Queen

It's strange that, in the movie "Respect," Aretha was 10 when a man snuck into her room and also that age when her mom died of a heart attack. Then her father didn't go to his wife's funeral. I don’t think her mom abandoned her. It was said that her mom tried to take the kids but since she was a stay at home wife and he was a pastor with money during a time where it was hard for women to live on their own, Aretha’s father threatened her. That was after her father graped and impregnated a 12 year old. Her mother also died before she had her first son

Karine, I absolutely adore you and love how you are creating content in your passionate purpose! I came across your first video, around 2020 maybe when you were sitting outside in a park environment with trees, I believe, creating content. I seriously thought about posting this response before doing so, however the rabbit hole goes sooo deep your head would spin. Aretha's mother was planning on taking her away from her father's custody and was mysteriously unalived under different circumstances and it was masked as a heart attack, while I am only three minutes into your video it's public knowledge that not only had her father consistently molested her--but the first child she gave birth to is his --- Adrianna--NYC

Aretha's homegoing was a week long celebration at various venues across the city that culminated at Greater Grace Temple. She was truly honored, a motorcade of pink Cadillacs, outfit changes, magnificent floral arrangements, etc. It was truly spectacular.

I don’t know if anyone knows this, but First Lady Chrisette Ellis who was one of the top Regional Sales Rep for Mary Kay, asked all Mary Kay reps who owned Pink Cadillacs be apart of the processional to Ms. Franklin’s burial site. It was a beautiful site to see all these pretty Cadillacs from all over the U.S. coming together to send off our Queen!

There are so many ruthless façades called Greatness in this industry. It’s very sad. The EGOS, the self grandiosity much like so many today. There is nothing Holy or Godly about that. All that smoking, toxicity and drinking poisoned 🤮. Her funeral was unfortunately a circus 🤡 of several intermissions and wardrobe changes over the course of 8 hours!!! It was very hard to watch. Imagine what could have happened if the money was instead being used to provide the therapy and healthy dietary needs. Choices matter. Character matters.
