With its cobbled streets and traditonal tower houses, Areopoli in the Peloponnese is a lively town with fantastic bars and restaurants.
Areopoli sits on a hill 1.5km from Limeni. This small town (the biggest in the area) has a square with weekly food market and a number of historical buildings and monuments. The highlight of Areopoli is it's old cobbled tiny streets filled with bars and restaurants that really come alive after dark. We lot's of out door seating and traditional or international cuisine to choose from you will be spoilt for choice.
Areopoli get's its name from the Greek God of War 'Ares' as it was fundimental in the greek independance struggle.

After dark the bars fill up with locals and live music fills the streets. It really is a lovely place and one to visit if you are in the Mani Peninsula in the Peloponnese.
