Sometimes we are facing small but significant issues while working with ArcGIS, QGIS, or any GIS software, and one such problem is the disabled area issue. It is a simple process to resolve this problem. If your data is in geographic coordinate system, you cannot perform area calculations. In this case, you need to change the coordinate system from geographic to projected coordinate system, as I have demonstrated in this video.
