A lot of youtube videos about vintage Levi's waste our time talking about care tags. This video sticks to the important physical differences and contains are lot of good information. Unfortunately, we will never come across some of those items like Type 1 Levi's jackets. One of the most important ways to date vintage Levi's jeans is the waist tag. You can tell when it was made based on the style, colors, and fonts.

So nice of you to make this video. I'm trying to guess this jackets age. It has no hand warmer pockets, and has the small e on tag that puts it in the 71'-mid 80's range. Mine also has single stitch by the bottom button. Is it older than 71 bc of that stitching?

Great video! I have a jacket I found from a thrift store that has a blank leather label on the inside.. it has the Levi logo but no lot number stamped on it. The only care tag I can find is one that has been cut out of the bottom left side of the jacket. It has single stitching and no hand warmers, and a little e.. do you think this is a replica or the real thing from 1970s? It does look worn but in good condition. Thanks!

I have a jacket that I think was made between 71-84. It doesn't have hand warmers and has 2 pockets but it has the copyright "r" on the tag instead of Levi's. I know that is something that Levi's does at the end of the team as part of their manufacturing but do you know when that was introduced? Jacket is also made in USA and I've seen similar ones that are made in China.

I have a LEVIS jacket with the Big "E" 2 front pockets and the double pleating on both sides and single stich by the bottom button. I bought it from an older lady at a garage sale for my daughter. My question is should i sale it on ebay or will it be worth more in the future!? 🤔🤔🤔

It about how the yarn were knitted, the selfedge need more cotton approximately 1.6 times the normal denim,it’s hard and rugged and Jeans collectors love it
