Thank you for your information. My J1 visa application in the 3rd country was on 221g merely for a better photo, which I sent it immediately. But my status is still refused after 3 weeks. I applied for withdrawal of my application at all (return of my passport and Ds 2019) since my visa here in a 3rd country is expiring, and my program has already commenced. I pray for every applicant not get into such a devilish trap. Denial is far more better especially for students or workers.

I really appreciate your videos and they are very helpful, however when we talk about 221g, what are your comments about the Visa Mantis program? Because, in that case, the decision depends on some infinite amount of agencies which then write back to the consular officer? HI sir I’m wondering about something. I’m living in China In 2016 I applied for B1B2 visa and I got it. But my visa was only one year cuz I’m from yemen . That year I just visit New York and came back . Well in 2018 I applied again for B1B2 visa and the counselor officer asked me some normal questions like have u been in U.S then he took my passport and gave me 221g paper. Suddenly I got calling from him, he said sorry we can’t print your visa cuz of situation . So I think it was cuz of travel Muslim ban that year from Trump .

Officer what is the meaning of final stage of administration processing before visa can be printed.

My fiancée has her interview next week in Manila, and I called the US Embassy there and they told me they still haven’t received her police clearance. I contacted the HKPD and they sent it on 12/8/22. Hong Kong and Manila are just an hour away flight. Hopefully we don’t a 221g 😢

Hi I have a problem 221g I am student doing my masters in Norway. There I applied for an exchange semester in USA. I faced the interview in Sri lanka on 31st of May 2023 for J-1 exchange student visa. Consular officer said he approved my visa and ask to pay the SEVIS fee. I paid the fee and submit it to the embassy at the same day in Sri Lanka. But still my status shows as *Refused*. The problem is I need to go back to Europe on 15th July. Gf got 221g 10/31 , docs sent next day, only wanted proof of tps from 2000. She had all other tps cards from 2002-2022 at the interview. Hello My fiancé had his interview 3-26-24 and was given a 221g form that states administrative process. I checked the status today and it was sent back to NVC? We do not know why and we r worried. The interview went well except the officer kept asking him if he was married before which he hasn’t been and they can search that. I had a interview 19 th april 2023.I got a yellow paper of condtional visa approval.from this day I am waiting for passport delivery up to 14 jun 2023.finally today I got my passport with visa and give a paper mention . Your case is refused under NIA Section 21 (g)(2) for failing ot comply with the provisions of INA or the implementing regulations. Your refused case may be reconsidered by following the instructions given by the interviewing officer and/or by providing the information/items marked below. And mention You application is subject to administrative processing .

She have two passport the old and new one but she used old passport in ds 260 form and in interview which was misplaced or lost in 2019 and got back . Does anyone have experience with at the interview they asked for my wife's and step children's passports and asked for my original divorce certificate. Today is May 3,2024. 221 g is because of a pardon. Congressman Dan Crenshaw help me with information on my husband status. They requested 4-5 things such as passport, background check from Mexico update Ceac and fotos. we went to Cuidad Juarez and paid for medical exam and visa fees again. The officer kept my husbands passport but said it will take 3-4 weeks for a response. My husband called the Consulate and they told him his case is still open. What do we need to do??

NO The only way the consulate officer will see it maybe true your finger print or if you have any crime record within and out of your country and the country you visited. They will seem your travel History true FBI when they are doing there background checks YOU. Before issuing you the visa…

I have my b1/b2 interview in September and because my case was really complicated, so the consular says she need AP to decide, she kept some of my proof document. But it has been almost 6 weeks. Thank you I appreciate your hard working so i had my interview 21 of October last year the Visa for sir, told me I was approved. They took my passport however, the following day they sent me the DS5535 to fill it out which I immediately did. I waited for three months. I have received an email from the Embassy They told me your case should be finalized third of February, and then nothing happened. Me and my fiancé filed a mandamus after 7 months waiting and then we hear back. The visa was denied under section 212 A3B which related to tourist. I was working with the US Army as interpreter in Iraq. I have many recommendations and I also worked with American companies. I have served with the Iraqi army for the last 1year I was wrongfully charged and I’m trying to find a way to prove with evidence that I have never involved or related to organizations will you guys be able to help me with this? I was refused under 221g on 11 June and my passport was taken together with my sponsorship letter. For three weeks I check and it remained refused with last updated date as 11 June. Almost 3 months from interview to visa issuance

Thank you for your helpful advice. The visa officer gave my fiancé a 221g white slip after the interview for K1bisa last week. . Our relationship is true. We love each other very much. Her 221g says “Additional processing time”. We are really confusing the results. Since 221g doesn’t have any time lines. We can’t make any future plans such as wedding date etc. it’s emotional torture. We feel we should withdraw K1 visa application. We don’t need to marry in the states and my fiancé really doesn’t need a green card. We just need to be together. We feel we made a mistake to apply K1 visa. Any advice?

My husband was given the 221G at his interview and asked to provide proof of my last trip to Morocco after our marriage; he submitted it and it was received at the consulate 3 days after his interview In Dec 18. on Jan 5 I checked the CEAC website and it showed as REFUSAL since Jan 2. I contacted my state senator to assist and on Jan 23 they forwarded a response from the consulate that stated the consulate officer refused our visa based on not believing our relationship to be BONA FIDE which was not stated to him at his interview!!! We are mortified and baffled as to how this consulate officer came to this conclusion if this wasn’t what was requested at his interview??

Hello, Did you ricieve an actual refusal letter or email from the consulte. We were told the same from our senators office but we never ricieved a refusal letter or email from the consulate.

I got 221g because my husband's 2021 tax transcript says he can't afford to support me and our baby. The consul ask us to have a joint sponsor but my husband refused to look for a joint sponsor since his 2022 tax is above poverty level. Can we just send the 2022 tax transcript instead of submitting a joint sponsor ? Thank you so much.

221g? wow. that should be straight up deny. I'm surprised that embassy allow you to find joint sponsor. If your husband refuses to find one, it means he don't love you enough. that's my cent about your case.

In my case nothing has changed from my previous visa to now, the employer is same and the client is same and my working location is also same. Can you tell by your experiences how much time will it take to get the process done as I have submitted the required documents.

Hi Kalyanam, I submitted my passport at the drop off location. I am in a similar situation too. I have few queries. 1) How long did it take to get the passport back, in your case? 2) Could you please let me know how one can submit additional documents? 3)Once they return passport to pick up location, will it have the reason for Administrative processing/2219(g)? If so, would one get a chance to submit missing documents again at the same drop off location?

@@sreerajmenon5050 1) it took 4 weeks after I submitted the required docs. 2) They will provide the email to which we need to send the docs

​​​@@kalyanram303 Hi Kalyan, i have completed my visa interview on August 24th 2023 and my college date was on 30th August 2023.So, the officer asked me to submit the fresh I 20 which consists of few more extra dates from university and he gave me form and he took my passport with him and told to mail the asked the documents to that mail I'd. Then I got my new i20 sep 29th and I shared that document to given mail but I got my passport on Oct 1st with again the same slip which the officer has given me on the day of interview? I had few questions., 1) what does that mean by sending passport back with that form? 2) Or may should I send the asked documents to them again with passport I was stuck in the middle without knowing anything about this. Plz give me any information you know

@@ramyab5217 yes it is better to send the required documents again. Once they are clear they wil send us an email to submit the passport.

Hello! Is it normal to be told in the interview that you got approved, so the officer keeps the passport and other documents, tells you to wait from few days up to 2 weeks. Then, in two days you receive your passport with two letters, one white paper about 221g, and, another about administrative processing and mentioning about sending information via email, but, no check box in the paper is marked to know what information they want?

​@@saxxe7 we recently (1 week ago) received an email from the embassy saying the medical exam has to be repeated (because they took too long it expired), and, to send them the exam results with the passport. Basically it's resolved now, but, the timing it's horrible and we have to wait almost 3 months to repeat the medical exam.

I got on AP yesterday for having a copy of my fiancé’s divorce certificate from 2012 and after the interview we were able to get the original one and I submitted it right away, meaning I submitted the specific required doc the same day after the interview, does any one know if this will help to get an update faster or in an honest note it will still take months?

@Jansherkhan1 still nothing, I traveled all the way and so did my fiance to go to the embassy in person and ask for assistance, they said Immigrant visas are being delayed as they have way to many cases daily and there's no estimated tome, I am 27 weeks pregnant so if they don't provide my case the final approval and send the passport I won't be able to travel on time and my fiance will have to sacrifice work to come all the way here 😔

@@Paocespi oh I’m sorry that’s bad is it ds5535 or just normal 221 g ?

We are stuck in 221g one yr now, ds-5535 was required. No end in sight for us. We been waiting since April 2020 for this visa. Visa is a K1 & since it's been so long we probably will be refused. Such a waste of our time.😤

I attended my visa interview on june6,2023 and i was refused under 221g letter to send additional documents. There is instruction as to how to send documents on 221g letter. But my visa application account status is not changed though i waited for 8 days to carry out the given instructions. Subsequently i am unable to get cuorier in authorization certificate to send documents. What shall I do?

On 7 June 2023 i had interview the counslor tell me at the end of interview please get your Medical after that the Medical Office send us via email your result. The Medical Office told me we can not email for them, after i got my Medical i send to the embassy via courior with my passport the embassy not email me yet. At first i check status of my case it shows last update on 7 june now it shows last update on 21 june!!

You should have emailed them. They will tell you why it took them longer they might need more documents. But it shouldn’t take this long without discussion

We've been waiting for about 7 months now for my wife's IR1 she's coming from Montreal embassy its so frustrating.
