Watching this now hits differently after my uncle passed away from the same cancer. Like Destiney tells in the reunion, my uncle's cancer started in his liver but as soon as it hit his spine, it went everywhere. We were told he had two months but we only got three days. My heart goes out to her, even after all these years.

I feel sorry for Daisy. If I was in this type of situation where my parents were expected to come, I for sure would not have a father showing up and I maybe would have a mother to show up. Sometimes you come from really fucked up backgrounds and abusive parents or families. It's already painful enough being in that situation and NOT having those things, it would be doubled by the lack of what you have also rendering this task impossible on too of it. The fact that Charles' older sister showed up for her and was clearly so happy to see her was actually touching. When you just have a normal decent family, then it's easy to have parental relationships, you just have them without trying. When you don't have anything like that and you forge a similar bond with someone not generically related to you, it kind of demonstrates a real type of strength and emotionally maturity, because you had to build and work towards making those relationships exist.

That's really sad 😔. Maybe you should try therapy or something because it does sound like your realtionship is damaged. You have a personal connection with your parents you are literally them. you just need to find it unless something very bad has happened between you.
