Yeah the first question of do you still consider yourself a Christian...the answers were nowhere near yes because I have a relationship with God becaue of Jesus. They seem to name that they have better rituals instead of Jesus. I feel like these are unbelievers or babes who have not been discipled. Also no one mentioned discipleship. Going and making disciples is the call of all believers in Christ. @Tracey Brave...in short I totally agree

We can’t put all the blame on leadership because like a student that goes to school when there kid isn’t doing good in school, many parents want to blame the teacher. The teacher can’t make the student do the work if there unwilling to apply the teachings etc. funny how we don’t put the blame on our employers or bosses because we getting a paycheck which causes us to endure our jobs.

Behaviours like these can drive people from the church and I have seen these things happen in the several churches I have attended.

I feel like a lot of this group doesn’t understand that Christian means follower of Christ. A belief in the Godman who died for the sins of the world. They keep saying the dark side of Christianity but that doesn’t make since being that we are people of the light. They don’t seem to make a clear distinction between Religion or religious groups and a personal relationship with Christ. At the end of the day are you a Christian comes down to of your heart toward the saving Grace or Christ death on the cross.

Great breakdown 👆🏿. We often will tolerate\long suffering for employers/jobs or toxic relationship but when it comes to the church 1 offense it’s I’m gone. I think the only difference is 1 gives people a paycheck and the other doesn’t. However the job is only beneficial on this earth and the spiritual relationship, teachings of God reward is eternal life which is greater in the end. I’m not saying to be abused by a person in the church but as the body were suppose to keep each other accountable. Yes being a Christian isn’t easy because of the persecution that comes with it spirituality and naturally. We know that to be a follower of Christ we would/will experience the same persecution as he did. It comes with it. Also I know a lot of people who went to school and graduated and retained nothing. I used that as an example that you can be in the church for years and not open your Bible and seeking God to get his understanding. At some point you have to make a decision to deny yourself and pick up your cross and follow Jesus. Or you will just have a form of godliness and denying his true power. Its a process, continues to seek God through his son Jesus Christ. Also get to know him through his word.

Yes I feel the same. I don’t believe she was ever likely saved, it doesn’t seem that she ever accepted Christ she was just raised in the environment but never had an encounter with Christ that changed her life. Deconstruction of faith is not bad. It tells you who’s who, where you stand and you get clear on that. But the best deconstruction studies it all the through and those that truly belong to Christ will see there is no other way to God but though Christ. One cannot separate Christ from God as she has. That would mean god would need to separate from himself and he cannot do such a thing. She seems to be going into more of a new age religious direction, which is much more Hindu in nature. But God is not in everything, that is a false gospel. I hope she realizes that. All of those gods are dead, only ONE rose and is alive to back up what he said and that is Jesus Christ!

A Christian is one who has completely surrendered every area of their lives to the ownership of Christ. They follow Him and forsake their own way, their own will, their sin and way of doing things in favor of Him and His ways alone. A Christian has been born of the Spirit (born again) and chose to follow Jesus even if it may cost them their very lives. This is what a 'follower of Christ' looks like in the scriptures, so I'll go with that.

History says the best way to establish a church or spread the gospels is through slavery or other high levels of oppression. Its hard to establish a Christian church with free healthy people. People need to be jailed or hungry or suffering to make it easier to establish or restore His Church. This is why the Church is so popular in Africa, poor Caribbean nations and in the ghettos of America.. Lol I did the opposite of these people. I disconnected myself from my “denomination” but I continue to go for other people. I feel like there needs to be representation of who a true Christian looks. Since I’ve disconnected it allows me freedom to fellowship everywhere without obligation. It’s weird but I find pockets of people who think like me online but not in person. I wish all church goers questioned why they do the routine of church.

At the end of the day, they experience religion and never really experienced Jesus Christ. They were not discipled and taught the heart of God as a Father, Holy Spirit the Teacher/Comforter, Jesus Christ the Son, who gave His life...the heart of God is not abusive, cruel, unloving but the exact opposite. And that their identity is not in the church or religion but rather we are one with God. The church and all the traditions of man failed them just like it failed the people in the Bible days. Truly eye-opening and relevant to the culture. Thank you Jude 3. I hope the Kingdom of God, responds appropriately and we come together and repair this breach.

Slavery is frowned upon now and young people rather know things than believe in things. Thankful to be apart of a ministry that has really simplified things and have basically taken the religion out of it. No titles (other than Pastors). No dress code. If God puts it on your heart to serve in some capacity and that’s what you want to do, cool. You can do it with no hassle. Lot’s of community outreach because that’s a huge part of who Yeshua was and is. Serving the community. Church itself is around two hours. Part of it is worship, part of it is the word and part of it is fellowship afterwards then we go home. People aren’t guilted into multiple offerings or shamed if they aren’t tithers. It’s stated at the end of service if you feel compelled to give, you can drop money in the basket, give online or through a text number. The focus though, is on outreach, worship, the word and fellowship. Trying to see souls saved. It’s true Kingdom building. It’s LOVE!! It’s very much relationship over religion and it has been an amazing experience. I’ve never been to a church like it.

Jesus asked his disciples "who do men say I am" and then he asked them "who do you say I am". We immediately highlight Peter's revelation but we fail to acknowledge the struggle the others have. If those early disciples, who walked alongside Jesus in the flesh, struggled, why are we shocked that those of us today struggle? It was Jesus who told an impulsive Peter that "I have prayed that your faith fail you not" and that's the ultimate issue for us all - that our faith fail us not. Lest we forget,, those same disciples left the cricified Jesus in the midst of their own struggle and returned to what they "knew" before returning. Questions will always arise and our prayers should be that "that our faith fail us not". Rev. J

A very interesting conversation and public comments too, thank you Jude Project. As an older Christian there are things that I see and experience as a "church member" that I can only put down to lack of biblical understanding and uniformed teachings that have allowed inappropriate behaviours to pervade within the church. However, I still know I that the church is filled with beautiful and bountiful "wheat" and right in and amongst the wheat are parasitic life threatening "tears" - this is what Jesus said would happen. The priority of the believer is to be planted in good soil "in The Word", to have our lamps trimmed "in The Word" and to remember that we are the salt of the earth and a light set on a hill, Our Creator God of the Bible cannot be "refined" He is unchanging and there is no failure in God. It's about finding your "grip" through the Holy Spirit and holding on to that in Jesus' name. Be blessed young people!

Let God speak to their heart and the Holy Spirit minister to them. I know personally I have had many days of “God are you there?”. With nothing. And I had to pray and fast and remember that God is always with us and will never forsake us but that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. It’s a battle and Satan attacks our minds and any weakness we show in our spiritual walk with God that’s why we need faith to please God and allow him to move in our lives because we will be tested. God bless you all and remember God will never leave you nor forsake you, we all fall short of the glory of God. No servant is above the master, if Satan went after Jesus he will go after believers of Christ.

Nature says that men come from women. But man said that god said that the first woman came from a man... There are in the ballpark about 2 billion people who have not heard nor had the opportunity to accept or reject the gospel. Yet, scripture let's us know in Romans 2 that there are many who have not a written law, but they have law within, and by it, obey the Lord more than those who have written law. In terms of evidence, archeological digs have excavated the following, the land of Goshen, where the Jews live in Egyptian bondage, golpher wood found at the 14,000 feet level of Mt. Ararat, which is where the Bible says the Ark landed. Fossil evidence has found animal life in parts of the world places of which they are non-indigenous as a direct result of the flood. Chronicles of Babylon, Persia, and Rome validate the existence of the Jews who spent 70 years in Babylonian captivity, Persian records document the existence and record of one Hebrew by the name of Daniel, a Jewish captive and Josephus in many of his works validates the historicity of Jewish history from the Maccabees through to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I received Christ shortly before I turned 16 and the church I attended taught us the importance of having a personal relationship with God and knowing him through knowing His word, prayer, fasting. Investing my time to know God and not relying on someone else only which most of us are now conditioned to only go to church to hear his word only. You should also spend time alone in prayer and reading His word. It’s like when you date someone wouldn’t you rather you spend time with the person and get to know them for yourself better or would you rather someone else told you about them alone? I go to church because I love to be with other brethren and worship with them as well and hear the Word of God but, I also invest my personal time to know God for myself as well.

I keep hearing I I I, what I get and don’t get, what I want, etc. It’s ok to have preferences but at the end of the day God says not to forsake the assembling of the Saints. Worship?!? Who said we even need worship.. No matter what god one serves we all know that no god that man has ever introduced to us does for mankind than what the sun does for mankind.. But there is nothing in nature that worships the sun.. In fact, the creator created creation without any concept of worship.. The ONLY time you see the desire for worship is with man and the gods that man creates.

Many saying they don't go church also saying they read the bible only from time to time see that's the problem many are being lead astray ,because of a lack of communication with the Lord... if your relationship with the Lord not strong you want be neither... that means you want be wise or mature enough to know why you truly leaving the church... most are leaving the church off their emotions/feelings.... the church is not supposed to be your God/ comfort, only Jesus christ is... the church is for fellowship with other saints... what 1 church not doing that you agree with doesn't mean other's don't ...its so important to seek God first and let him place you in a church home that's for you instead of not going at all...see that's good as what the devil wants division and confusion don't be deceived🙏🏾

It's interesting how many young persons have left the church because of the people they have encounter as if the world outside of church is perfect. Mom taught us never to look at peope in the church, you are there to worship God. She also said not all in attendance were there for sincere worship. It reminds me of how the Bible said that the wheat and the tares are mixed, but will be separated. Matthew 13:30 I also remember the words in 2 Tim verses 1-3 4 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. There is hypocrisy in all humans, outside, or inside churches. To call people in the church hypocrites is so strange, when the person who is doing the calling is a hypocrite too. We are all imperfect. When a real friend calls us out for our imperfection outside of church we might be more incline to hear them out than when we are part of a church group. Strange how we respond to being called out. It's like when we get angry with our parents for correcting us, but then give a pass to a teacher, a friend, or even a complete stranger. My fellow humans...aren't we a strange paradox of contradictions? When I hear people on these forums give their reasons, I think we have to look deep under the surface, but these kinds of videos, and platforms don't allow us to. We have to know these individuals personally. How much of the Scriptures do they know? How do they relate to others, and on what levels for example.

I do agree that with the way the world is now, all these denominations and different doctrinal beliefs and practices can surely discourage people from church and seeking God but as brother paul constantly reminds us that the crux of christianity is the cross of Jesus christ and the meaning of that for us today, if we but turn repent of our sins and place our faith in him. Sometimes church traditions can be overwhelming, I suggest that you try to find a small group or a community group where you study the bible and have conversations with fellow believers. Iron sharpened iron. As humans we really are truly easily influenced and you have to decide the influence you want over your life

At minute 7:38 Trayonna mentioned a thirst that she has for having a relationship with God; good, stay thirsty my friend. Matthew 5v6 “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied. Also at 7:59 Trayonna mentioned that she's "still trying to figure that part out". I pray that God will answer you and open your understanding of himself. At minute 8:35 - 8:44 Jazmine admitted that she "don't have the knowledge to argue with somebody about it [Christianity] and so part of the reason for this is because she admitted in minute 8:13 that she doesn't open her bible. What came to mind while watching this was, the traditions of men have made the Word of God of none effect. Sounds like what they've experienced is man's traditions, which are religious and can be abusive. That's why Jesus told those that had been under such burdens to, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.' My prayer is that those that run from the abuse of religion are running to Jesus so that healing, deliverance, and whatever else is needed for the spiritual growth necessary to be able to stand and endure the disappointments we will find in mankind, regardless of the status, can be had.

Marrying people is on the authority of the government. That is not what the Lord has called us to do. God ordains his ministers and equips them for their calling. Not he that commends himself is approved of God but whom God commends. Someone said that it is one thing for the boat to be in the water but another thing for the water to be in the boat. An intellectual belief in God and following the rules doesn't provide salvation. In fact, Jesus scolded the religious people the most. Those denominations, titles and organizations are not important in heaven/kingdom. Even though I left COGIC and go to a Baptist church doesn't mean I'm Baptist. I go to that church "hospital" because it was more equipped to handle my issues; ministries that me and my children are involved; teachings that deal with the word of God applied in everyday life. I question how a black Christian and white evangelical can both claim the same faith and reach vastly different social conclusions. It lead me to exploring the Baha'i faith and seeing that maybe Christians just haven't seen a new revelation designed to answer this problem. Christian faith has in no way inspired the majority of white America to see black people as fellow believers and those whom they should defend. Maybe it's because it is time to move on to something like the Baha'i faith. I don't know yet. But I am exploring it.
