Thanks for the spotlight on this awesome book! As an ACE myself, the book really helped me validate my sexual identity. Everyone should read it. Also, I urge all ACE individuals to make a point to always use the full acronym of LGBTQIA+, as it reminds the public, as well as our own community, that asexuality is a recognized sexual identity. Thanks for your video!💕🤗

Love that for you! It's so great when you feel more aware of your sexual/gender identity and also about using the full acronym, secondeddd! 💜💛🌈
I’m not surprised to be the only ace person here who is reluctant to read this book 😅 but I am so so happy that it exists and I love to see peoples thoughts on it. I think everyone could benefit so much from these discussions. Just through listening to/discussing my own journey, two people in my personal life have discovered that there are differences between their sexual and romantic orientations (and additionally one of them is demi). Great video!

thanks so much for watching! lol that's cool, sometimes you need to be in the right headspace for certain books and completely agreed it really does make you think more critically about your identity; i was talking about it with my partner and now he thinks he might be demi too! 💜💛
Really enjoyed your video on this book 😊 absolutely loved this read, it made me think more deeply about my own asexuality and consider the intersections of asexuality and race/gender/disability which I've taken with me long after finishing it. Best of luck exploring your romantic orientation! That exploration was quite a journey for me haha

This book sounds so interesting! I’m still coming to terms with my own asexuality and trying to figure out what exactly that means to me, so this might be a great read :)

I love Ace so much! This book is hugely special to me 🧡 There were a lot of eye-opening moments in the book, but especially when Angela Chen describes the difference between sexual drive vs. sexual attraction, which I had never distinguished between before. Also, if I may vent for a moment, I loaned my annotated copy of Ace to a friend last year and she lost my book 😞 She claims she will replace it, but it's been months. I'm so bummed!

Absolutely, it's amazing how we were all taught to conflate sex drive and sexual attraction when they're so different! And omgg noooo I feel your pain! 😭 that's the worst!!
