I hope you feel better soon. I enjoy your videos and the places you show I will probably never see. tomorrow will be 6 months since my heart procedure. I have been feeling great after 4 years of Afib which almost turned me into an invalid. I try to get stronger every day. hang in there. Tomorrow is another day.

It's been about a month since my last chemotherapy and I am feeling much better, thank you for asking. My husband's last heart surgery was a couple of years ago and he is still hanging in there. His first heart attack was in 2003 and he has had ongoing issues since, but we count each day as a battle won. We both have good doctors and they keep a close eye on us. I hope you do as well.

Thanks for sharing Granny. Looks like Grays Harbor is living up to its name. We camped for a weekend at the beach back in 94. We did get some sunlight during that weekend. I lived in Richland and worked at Hanford back then. They never took those towers down; I climbed the East one and circled the top once that is cooling tower for Plant #3. I worked at that site for over 2 years. Almost bought a property in Elma. Love your trips. Fond memories.

They turned the towers into a business complex. Offices in them now. The gray skies are a part of Aberdeen for sure. The fog was announcing our latest cloud front bring us rain. Starting today we are supposed to expect it for the next week. My husband worked on those towers too. He stayed at a local motel.

There is a lot of concrete there for sure. Wow, a business complex. Cool.

PNW Granny, Glad you were able to get out. You gave your viewers some excellent advice. When I was young I thought I was invincible. I was very wrong. Years of not eating right and definitely not getting enough rest caught up with me. Nice to see a new video from you. Have a great day.

Hi, I am a new subscriber and I come to you from Sandy @ Let’s Get Fit With Sandy. This is a beautiful video and you have a lovely voice for narrating. I really enjoy videos like this, that scene of the Pacific Ocean was breathtaking and humbling. Although you don’t know me yet, I want to wish you success with your upcoming chemo session. Kathy.

Hello Kathy. Welcome to my channel. I've been watching Sandy since Denise first started the channel and love her witty banter. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest for about 40 years and have adopted this as my forever home. The chemo is doing OK so far this time. Only twice more and I'm done. Thank you for the lovely compliments and I hope you will stay and enjoy my mini trips around the state of Washington.

Feeling OK today. Just got my Neulasta injection and hope I can avoid the bone pain this time since I took some precautions. I love the ocean so much. There are so many great places close to where we live. Well, you know pink is kind of my thing. Thanks for watching, Susan.

I wish the city of Westport could have saved the SS Catala ( even though it wrecked on the ocean shores side) and donated it to the museum in Westport when it wrecked in the 60's.

I hope it will hit home with a few people. I wish I had listened to all the good advice all those years. Common sense things we all know in our heart of hearts, but never think will negatively impact us. Until it does.

VERY good advice Granny. We all thought we were bulletproof in our younger years, made bad choices and took on bad habits. I like to call it "the arrogance of youth." Guilty as charged.

I used to be very skinny and did a lot backpacking and walked a lot of places. Weight and bad knees put all that to a stop. Hoping to get back in fighting form some day.

I've been getting a lot of professional advice lately and I'm going with a mostly vegetarian diet. Lots of veggies, beans, and foods rich in potassium since that seems to be a problem for me. Also avoiding sugar till my doc tells me more.

I was kinda a chicken as a young person and avoided some scary physical stuff, but I certainly ate very poorly and until recently skimped on sleep time. Hence getting fat and lazy about exercise. Should have also added reducing stress. Some many things that people worry about that they have no control over and the worry is a useless drain of your resources. Thanks for the comment. Have fun in Maine.

So sorry to hear that you are fighting cancer I am sending prayers that the cancer is killed and you start the road to recovery. I am now 11 years out on my breast cancer so I know what you are going thru. Good luck to you.

I am finally ready to start being a survivor instead of a patient. So far, all is going well. No side effects from the meds I'm on so that is great. Thank you for thinking of me. I'll be back making videos again soon.

I had Stage 2 breast cancer that required a lumpectomy and removal of some lymph nodes. I did pretty well except for the chemo treatments that made me extremely sick and weak. I was blessed with some wonderful doctors and since so much progress has been made to conquer this terrible disease I got my diagnosis at the best time to make a complete recovery. I have confidence I will be sticking around for a while, lol.

Mine was Stage 2 when they found it but before they could operate, I came down with everything under the sun so they had to wait a month to operate. In that time I went to Stage 3. I also had a lumpectomy and removal of 25 lump nodes (5 with cancer). I had chemo and had no problems at all with it as far as making me sick. Then I had 30 days of radiation and then the mammogram every 3 months, then 6 months then the once a year. I had triple X negative, what kind did you have?

  • @RVGrannyWA

They told me I had invasive ductal carcinoma with lymph nodes involved. I was also given a genetic test to determine my chances for recurrence of cancer in the next 5-10 years. I started at 70% chance of recurrence but now it's down to 17% after all the treatments. If I'd been able to complete chemo it would have been even less.
