Delores I'm in Portland Oregon and havent yet found anyone like this either. I'm studying Revelations with someone online from Wisconsin because I havent been able to get any of my local Christian women friends to study the bible like this, hungry and desparate for God. The last church I went to fell apart and now I want a shepherd who will feed Gods sheep like this, who will bind up the injured and comfort the brokenhearted, strengthen the weak (basically do Ezekial 34). God please help us. Please either place us with a shepherd who will obey You or come and shepherd us Yourself. In Jesus name, Amen.

Look for a Calvary Capel in your areas, they teach the Word Book by Book, scripture by scripture, with application...I have grown in the Lord so much in the last three years since I've attended Calvary Chapel Casa Grande, Az....

The "Church" became critical of worship when the value of "being entertained" became the priority.

Does anyone else feel like so happy when they hear Francis speak. He has this glow and this peace about him and watching his videos makes me in a good mood. Just being in church makes me cry with joy and it sets my whole mood for better. It’s like being high or drunk if that’s not weird. Wondering if anyone feels like this

He is a extremelly well annointed man of GOD and yes he does that with me also. We all have the Holy Spirit within us ( born again ) and when we hear certain people that set us the annointed to have our Spirit of GOD ablaze. The whole spirit is Fire and we get lit!!!

that' a good start... but keep abiding in Jesus. Spending time with God will keep you from sin.... in prayer and bible reading to name a few spiritual disciplines.

Imagine how beautiful God is, so beautiful that you can stare at Him for all eternity and be completely blown away at how extremely amazing He is. Imagine that for a minute. After this you realize nothing here on earth is even worth your interest. Many folks go nuts over material things here : cars, jewelry, nice houses, nice tourist spots, food, being fit and healthy... And when you talk about God they look at you and say all sorts of things against you. But these are the same people who label you a hater if you rebuke them about homosexuality, feminism, abortion, and of course, telling them that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father.

@Asherah 1147 the Bible does say one should rebuke those that are doing wrong. Would you not warn and scold your child if he does something wrong? Is that judging? You see, the devil has whispered to the ears of men what words to fight back with if someone tells them they're doing something wrong. You know what those words are? "Don't judge me!!" Acceptance is not always love. If you love that person you don't want him or her doing things that are abominable to God, knowing it could send them to an eternity of suffering. You may not believe it, but hell exists, whether you believed it or not. Jesus talked more about hell than He did about heaven. That should be ample warning.

Hate is inherently part of humanity. Without God, we are only left with all forms of hate, sin and depravity. That is why being removed from his presence is the most terrifying prospect that can exist. Understand both the Old Testament and the new to know who the one true God is. He gave us both testaments as a portrait. KZread: “the Bible project” to aid in engaged understanding. Nothing can take the place of daily scripture and prayer in the life of a Christian.

God give me this kind of enthusiasm! Open the eyes of my heart to really, really know You!!!

I just love Francis Chan. For the past few days I have been absorbed in his messages.I am so hungry for a church that preaches the word. I live in Australia. I am so tired of these mega churches who's message is watered down and usually about there experiences , or stories. I am tired of the prosperity preaching, the 10 minute or so tithing messages which make me feel so condemned as I am poorish and the church building funds. Being pushed over in the prayer line and so on. I give though and its whats in the heart. I am so hungry for Jesus, His word and unity. I've always thought why can't we have church on some land, meet together without all the theatrics. I feel so inspired when I hear someone who actually wants to follow Christ, without all the man made showy stuff and feed off His word. I hope something happens here soon like what Francis is putting together. I am at the point which is probably wrong where I feel I don't want to go to church as the church I am in right now a Pentecostal church the pastor seems to be connecting with some American preachers who have been considered false teachers. Be careful what you here

Pray to God every morning that you'll be able to endure what life throws at you. Every. Single. Morning. Things may actually get worse because the enemy will do all they can to separate you from God. Constantly pray, read the Word, and keep God first. God will take care of you when all is said and done. Do not lose hope and faith. I live in a pretty isolated part of Northern Australia and don't get to church very often, and when i read negative or hair splitting comments about this man i think no wonder the world is anti church/Christ , it's because their not seeing the love of "Jesus" in either the church or his disciples, sad but true, " john 13:35, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another " Peace and Blessings

It's been so long since I've heard a sermon like this. Such righteousness in Christ Jesus❣ Pastor Chan how I've longed to know someone who loves the Lord and Heaven as I do. I witness on You Tube and out in stores about the shed blood of Jesus and His forgiveness of sin. I'm so hated at times by family & friends but I know Jesus was too. But you are such an encouragement that Christ will fulfill His will in my life as He will in others. Thank you for being faithful. Yes it is when you repent. Remember Jesus came to earth with a message. "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand." We have to turn from our sins, and surrender to God. Look at the disciples. They left everything to follow Jesus.

You have forgotten your ways Francis, heaven is for the poor and to be a disciple one must sell all that they posses and give to the poor. Luke 12:33 and luke 14:33. You stand among the rich and do not preach the true gospel and the requirements to follow Christ. Im sure this wont get to you and im sure the theologians will tell me im out of context but truth is truth even if the world rejects it for another set of beliefs.

At 43:23 - No I do not look in the mirror and see immeasurable power right here (fingers pointing to self)... but when I look up I do! All glory is His and His alone. Any crowns are cast at His feet for He alone is worthy. He is our focus for praise and on Him alone do we rely for strength and the ability to accomplish anything of eternal value. Our job is to die to self and let Him live in us. Yes there is an immeasurable greatness of power "towards" us not coming "from" us. Self-glorification and pride can slip in if we are not very careful.

I agree Cliff! Your analysis is spot on. Francis obviously had good intentions behind his interpretation but I believe you are correct. The immeasurable power is not *in* us in the context of this verse. It does not appear to be, as Francis says, something we "can access", as if it were a resource pool of power that we can tap into to do X, Y, or Z thing. It is *salvific power toward us* I am no Bible scholar, only a layman, but this seems pretty clear.

I think we have to be really careful and measured/balanced in how we go about critiquing or analyzing what someone is saying.. I kinda feel like it’s a little disingenuous to insinuate that he is promoting self glorification when the entirety of this sermon was him doing the exact opposite. Context is important here-as in looking at that particular part you brought up in relation to the rest of the sermon.

Dear pastor God gave gifts to men, and I've known from the first time hearing you that you Love and Revere the Living God ! It just flows through you to all who hear the message ! And that, is why people flock to listen to you ! It's not your name , but the spirit of God ! With love that flows from you ! For that is your gift ! Jacob Pendl That’s the problem, we look at scriptures that say that but not listen to Jesus Himself. Listen to these words, Luk 6:46 “Why do you call me Lord Lord but do not do what I say”.. believing does nothing is you don’t follow Him. Believing in Jesus is knowing He our Lord and our God. And in this understanding we as written^ “deny ourselves, pick up our crosses, and follow Him”. Read the cost of discipleship.
