Hi Julie I want to thank you and.your family for the wonderful content. I struggle with severe depression and sometimes my life and house gets a little out of control. I love thrift shopping and I love how you decorate your house so I decided to make my house look like yours!. It has helped me to get out of the house the last few months and go thrift shopping. I have been painting the inside if my house,and decorating with my finds. And I'm starting to feel good about myself. I even started saying when I'm on the fence about a item 'I'm just going to think about it in the buggy' & I'm from the north and we call it a shopping cart!. So thank you again !

That store had a lot of stock. I'm 73 & for the 1st time in my life I decided, like you, to do blue in my decor. My favorite color is sage green & warm colors before. I do like the blue for a change. Being at home constantly for the past 2+ yrs, it is soothing. Dont know if it's for the long haul, but it's good for now. Love your decor. My style now is shabby, boho, farmhouse, depending on which room you're in.

Hi Julie! If you wanted those blue curtains it should be really easy to paint those metal grommets! Rub n Buff metallic rub on paint!, or there are lots of metallic paints out there. And if you want to tone down the metal, add some stain on top, let dry and put a sealer on!

Marlene peters . I really liked the blue and white 💙 pillow. Blue to me is a relaxing color. I have a similar candle holder bot my in a distressed white. It is wonderful to change colors in our decor and also move furniture changes. It gives a new look. As always you have happy thrifting. Julie - love the bedspread with the white corchet trim...YOU said "there was only one pillowcase and it was in bad shape" - so, a suggestion - IF after you wash it and treat it with stain remover and it still doesn't come clean - I suggest that you remove the "corchet lacey trim and attach it by hand to another set of pillow shams...there should be enough if the trim goes completely around the case to put on the "FRONT" that will show the trim and it will complete the set look.

U could pull the lace off the pillow case and make a small pillow with it. Don't waste the lace my grandmother made lace sheet set for me I've already put the lace twice on new sheets. Love it. Wait for todays post.

Hi Julie ! How I laughed with the statement “Who am I ? Who am I ? I’m loving Brass and Blue “. I can remember when I was younger and my taste would change and it seemed like overnight !!!! But as years went on ….I slowly came back to my first decor love. I think it was in the early 80’s I was “ in love” with the Apple Green color with whites! It was in all the magazine and beautiful! Never switched to it or had anything in the color…but I loved it! What great finds and I’m shocked with the prices of $1 …. That pillow covered in Waverly fabric is a gem! I use to buy the Waverly Fabric when I had my shop and made pillow covers. Even 15 years ago the price of a yard of that fabric was expensive. I couldn’t make one for that price ! Then that pretty bed skirt ! Oh my the detail on the bottom….loving !!!! Always a wonderful time Thrifting with you ! So enjoy it ! Love your sense of humor and honesty ! Perhaps you could find some Rub ‘n Buff to change those silver grommets to your desired color. It may take more than one color to get it just right but you would be able to keep your curtains.

Miss Julie if you want to clean your brass candle holder use kosher salt on half a lemon and scrub. It may take a few minutes or a few times depending on how clean you want it. Just FYI...good luck! I love your channel and your accent since it matches my Tennessee one!

I have a suggestion for your curtains in case you can't find right color as the blue curtain t on modern with the rings. Here I go measure from bottom of rings to length of your drapes to floor . Anyway if measurements work then you can make a rod pocket out of the curtains and hot glue follower plus attach some of your beautiful crocheted pieces or runners at top. Put on rod pocket with sheers in middle on rod pocket! So pretty. I have white sheerd.

I have candles stashed in every room in case of power failures. It happens rarely in my California location, & they don't last very long. But I learned their value when living in Albuquerque, where power failures weren't unheard of!---I wondered what the asking price was for the hobnail hanging lamp. I looked it up and discovered, with the matching hobnail globes, it was $150 (plus $31 shipping!)---I may have already told you that I had one of those crocks with the close-over latches, when we had a pop-up tent camper. I kept fuses in mine, in case of power failures!---Wow, the Nimitz Museum. I've been there, spent a comfortable 3+ hours absolutely absorbed!---I'm tickled at your New Blue You!

The pan you were looking at, is Enameled Cast Iron. They are nice, but heat temperature shouldn't go higher than med. I gave alot of mine away when moving couple of years ago. Also shouldn't use ant metal utensils or scrubbers on them. Just thought I'd share.

You could spray the curtain grommet to look brass just make sure you protect the material if you did. Like your things

Love your channel. Been watching for over a year now. I must admit I have been wondering where you were putting ALL your finds. Kept thinking---your house must be very large lol, so when you showed your boxes of items for "someone else to love", I was relieved a bit. Please don't take this as a negative comment. I have been doing exactly this as well. I take a bag or box to donate every time I go to the thrift store. Looking forward to spring. We are certainly seeing signs of it here in the Midwest.
