Knowing whether you have arrogance in you or not is Very important as the prophet SAW said that no one who has a single atom of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.

Working hard to remove all arrogance from yourself is even more important. Unfortunately, some people who insist on showing off their religiosity by shortening the length of their pants (as if the shorter, the better) are arrogant in Allah's eyes for Allah told our Prophet (PBUH) to lower his wings before other Muslims :)

In the end the Mercy of God is bigger than everything and they will prob still go to Jannah anyways.

@@NiTeLightYears There are some who would remain in the Fire of Hell forever since Allah will not grant permission for intercession for them since, in Allah's judgment, they are not deserving of intercession from anyone. According to a Hadith, they will be cleansed in the Fire of Hell until nothing remains except their seeds. Allah will then immerse these seeds in the River of Life. What would happen thereafter is not known through any Hadith. So, from this Hadith it is clear that Allah will cleanse arrogant people in the Fire and when they are purified, Allah would allow entry into Paradise on His mercy. So, we should all pray to Allah to remove all arrogance from ourselves and we should work to remove arrogance from our character before death arrives and knocks on the door. This is what the Sufi Muslims try and do, if I am not mistaken :)
