LOL love the ending! And that little girl is super smart, running up the hill to the little car but looking behind to make sure you were there and she definitely knew which side to get in! Ok Dolly, we're waiting!

Omgosh.... Super mean!!!! Lol... Can't wait to see the new addition to the farm!!!!
I really love your channel… The gentleness of the entire undertone or overtone and how you talk about your animals and how sweet the children are and how excited they are about the animals!! I just think that you probably have one of the nicest family videos and you really do have so many different interesting animals. I know it’s not on this video but I’m really sorry you lost your special duck that you’ve had for about four years. It is very hard when you don’t have closure and I love the way the children all rallied together to help you look for ANY SIGN of Her! It was really cute at the end of this video watching your daughter run to her play car and how big she smiled when she made it and then when? Mommy was pushing her in it and it’s as if she herself was driving the car!! So adorable, and all of your children have the BIGGEST EYES!! But Even BIGGER HEARTS😊♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Yes, we really miss Amelia. She was a wonderful duck. ❤️
Your videos made me remember my good old days when no alarms were required to wake me up cause the roosters did and the surrounding too all give me the vibe of pasts , And the beehive reminds me of cousin grandparents, and your children reminds me of my lost childhood...... Just wish I could time travel to the past and relive it , relive the moments with my parents, and grandparents, when technology wasn't that hi-tech back then
I love your videos! What an amazing story teller you all are. What a wonderful example you both are setting.

Your white peacocks 🦚 are looking great! Your taking really good care of them and they are much bigger than when I last saw them!
out of those 3 chickens you were wondering were roos... the first one is definately a roo and the last black copper maran is a roo. It is easy to tell by their long Hackle and Saddle feathers the hens do not have
Cliffhanger!!!!
Gosh, the leaves are already on the ground there. So pretty! Here on the East coast the trees are just turning! :D
What a cliffhanger! 😄
In the horse world we have a saying... A watched mare never foals! I personally work at a jersey dairy, i milk up to 250 cows a day along with caring and feeding calves. Just the other night we had to pull a LARGE calf ,mid milking, out of a first time heifer that had been in labor for a few hours. Both are doing well and mom is very sweet in the parlor. Dolly is looking so very close, keep that iodine ready!
Bless you Randy
Happy birthday to the new calf on the White House on a Hill farm.

The best thing to do with a mean rooster is "Stew". ;) When Dolly was licking you it shows she needs some salt. I love to watch the children play and enjoy the farm. Thanks for sharing.
I look forward to your videos. I’m a fairly new subscriber and have enjoyed getting to know your family and learning about your animals/ feathers. I am so very impressed to see that your family has built that huge aviary fence by yourselves. 💪👏🙌 Wishes for a safe delivery of the calf. 🙏🏼 Your little Bella is beautiful. You have a knack for storytelling and have an awesome family. God bless. 🙏🏼💚

Long time no see Jake and Becky, loved seeing your dairy cows and getting an update of the Beautiful White House on the Hill!😁👍🐮🐄
amazing channel though and so cute calf
LOL! Anytime we had a rooster that needed an "attitude adjustment" we'd catch him and let him hang upside down by his legs for a bit. Each time he's coming at you with that attitude, do it again til he's calm, then let him go on YOUR terms.. Doesn't have to be long, not more than a few minutes usually. Not trying to hurt him, just some tough lovin, lol. He soon realizes he's not top of the pecking order, lol.
can’t just leave us at to be continued 😢 Hope everything goes well. Love y’all ❤
Nice Cliffhanger
Yes I remember that, this is very exciting 😄
Wow Looking forward to how it goes, and wishing it go well for Dolly and baby!
I do want 1 of those hands birds They look really cute
Can't wait for dolly to give birth
Isabella is so cute I'm she will be a princess when she grows up
Watching from Phillippines
Isabella walks around to the open door in her car, very lady like. My child would go head first over the Stirling wheel 😂
Im was hoping to see the birth, Dolly had to hold out to keep everyone excited for the next video! Its been awhile sense i have see your boys! I almost didn’t recognize them, so grown and handsome and the baby is already walking, where have I been!
Big fan of you guys all the way from Saudi Arabia
instead of only relying on the sickle feathers on the tail for roosters, watch the hackle (neck) and saddle (rump above the tail) feathers as well. Roosters will have pointed irridescent hackle and saddle feathers.
I truly enjoy watching your videos. I only wish I would have had more of an appreciation for farming at a much younger age and would have raised my children the way you are yours. I'm now in my 50's and trying to work on having my own little farm. I really enjoy watching your family. Good luck with Dolly and the new calf
Cliffhanger 😢
i hope this channel get more views
Yay the video came out! Tyy
We need an update on the calf !!❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰
Another way to know if you have a rooster or hen is to feel how hard it is to move their neck gently, if its soft you got a hen if its a little hard you got a rooster
The three chickens that you asked us about are roosters (I'm 99% sure), their neck feathers are pointed, and I see the beginnings of saddle feathers.

👍🏻
Hey fun fact to help with tail feather prob if a chicken has feathers at the rear end that hang down on the side there saddle feathers so it’s a rooster since they only have them
Aww I wish I can help you 🥺
To help with rooster problems I recommend trancing. All you do is grab the legs of the rooster and flip them upside down. Usually this will calm the rooster. Hold the bird firmly then place on the ground. Also when you enter your chicken area, approach the rooster. I also recommend holding out you foot if he’s aggressive. Love your channel ❤❤❤🐓🐓🐓
Your vid’s are owsome keep up the great work

What a cliffhanger 😂😂
Not me getting emotional because the kids are growing up so fast 😭😭😭
Hopefully we will see the caf soon 👍
6:58 Probably a rooster, can't tell very well...one sign that I usually look for is long pointy feathers around the tail that come in even before droopy rooster feathers. Did have one hen I hatched, thought she was a rooster basically until she laid her first egg. Another we also thought was a roo, named it Dave and then like a few weeks later we realized she was a girl...Dave is a great hen.
@whitehouseonthehill

Agreed, I didn’t feel that the feathers were pointy enough, even though there are some dangling feathers that are throwing us off.

@@whitehouseonthehill Its pretty confusing sometimes, time will tell though
Horses and cattle are hard wired to isolate when giving birth. Probably the best thing you can do for her is leave her alone, and get a camera to monitor her. It's part of the bonding process that mommas do with the baby to establish a relationship before bringing the baby back to the herd. I also know that with horses that it takes 30 minutes for their eyes to adjust to light and dark, so flashing lights in their eyes in the middle of the night can be blinding and distressing for the animal. I imagine cows are similar, so I'd get red tinting for flashlights if she's calving at night (which she most likely is). And try not to flash it in her face.
Such happy children I can't wait to see the New Calf please show the video soon please don't make us wait I know you are so busy but I am hooked to your videos and. All the farm life .Thank you for sharing your videos I enjoyed them All 🎃🎃🎃👻👻👻👻👏👏👏👏👏♥️👍

Call the calf stormy😁
I found that if you put the rooster on side and hold him for awhile like you do to a dog they stop that behavior might have to do it a couple of times

Long legs is almost always a rooster. They are funny sometimes. I have had hens with spurs.
@whitehouseonthehill
Жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, most of our hens have spurs in the main flock
I am a farmer in the Netherlands and there're always some cows who give birth 1week or more after their due day
Noooooooooo I wanted to see the baaaaabbyyyy 🥺🥰
When you said you didn't know if you wanted animals or not in the video it all started with 6 chickens that sounds crazy now
It seems to be always crazy when the babies are born lol
The chickens you showed and thought were rooster could be hens since I have a hen who has a curled tail, (like a rooster's) yet she is a hen. She still lays. But they could be a rooster, it depends is they start to crow or lay eggs.
