Spot on with chain gun… no matter the energy level it is underwhelming. Totally agree, Eclipse is one of the top two strongest mechs, if not the strongest. Removing the free implant exchange is huge and if they listened to the community they would never do that. This on top of the removal of the old fortune vault! All the new changes they are telling us about and we STILL don’t have the new tier system for existing players. Yet we can bring in more duplicate mechs and weapons at different levels…

The fact that you always keep the f2p players in mind during your analysis is great, you defenitely deserve more subscribers, love the content keep it coming (:

I actually really love the current design,so I hope they give us an option to switch back to the normal one if we want to.

If they are going to make us use a-coins or lose implant parts to change our pilot loadouts then there needs to be at least 2 rare and epic pilots for each weapon type.

I think the way they are thinking about the implants is : 1. there is no parts dump right now , so you just keep getting more and more. 2. we are getting more pilots of the same type (and will keep getting more), so we wont have the need to change out implants but just change out pilots. is this the best , meh probably not but i can kinda see where it is coming from

I guess I get the point. Why change implants when you can get and build more pilots? They could do this infinitely. That sounds exhausting but entirely possible for a long term goal…

Great analysis! Seeing as the implant removal discount will be gone, all the new items to be introduced in the immediate future won't make any sense to obtain unless you're a whale with deep pockets. I'm definitely not going to spend hundreds of dollars just to try out something new.

Maybe these changes will be financially better for them at large, but they've pushed me from some spending to F2P. I've had some good offers lately, but I don't want to give Plarium my money with decisions like the multi-tier cookie cutter designs (e.g. Slingshot/Killshot/Nomad), charging A-coins to swap implants, and poor design elements like the bots that run around like toddlers instead of working towards the mission objective. Regarding the chain gun, it was as you said for me. I won it, played it for a day or two to get the rewards, then parked it. It's not good. This visual update looks like they want to make the game look more like War Robots, which is dumb. The visual style is part of the appeal to me, with a preference for the older mechs over the new Michael Bay-styled ones.

They developing a super shotgun, it even has meathook 17:19 They even got the miniguns and the chain guns from the OG doom games and now recently they developed a BFG, except they renamed it all that's not progression from grenade launchers that's the equipment belch 8:40

Wow, Plarium did an AMAZING job listening to the players, a really great job at it. What's more, they listened to us by making changes that everyone absolutely hates, outstanding I'm really satisfied with their efforts 🙂

It's absolutely insane to me that they removed the implant discount. They have so many other ways to make revenue in this game if they need to. But we work our asses off in this game, or/and spend money, to aquire and upgrade implants and once we have, we should have the freedom to pair them or change them or switch them around as much as we want! Just like with mechs, weapons and pilots. I think it's a strange system that doesn't make sense whatsoever.

i think the main thing they want to achieve is giving each rarity rank of mechs i.e. epic, legendary, tht sort of thing, a different version OF THT MECH. kinda like puma=panther/slingshot=killshot.

That sweet nectar called "implant disscount". Once you taste it, you can't live without it again. At least take it away from us in a slower way would be better. Such as introducing implant remove token that we can grind somehow, or make it free once a week or month (every week/month you get 1 chance of the a-coin implant removal, renewable each week/month). Would be great imo :D

I like the redesign since it ties into the lore that Mech arena is set after a big war

I really like the sound of the PVE that sounds really cool

I think as mayer said, when the time for implant removal discount overs, the gear hub is gonna pop in.

Ffa and CPC are so different set up wise that if you wish to do both you'll need to swap out implants. I'm trying to go down the generic route so other than onyx no mech specific implants then at least I can swap mechs now and again without cost. They will charge to swap out mechs next.

We have to few good pilots for the implants, the choice of implants are to limited also. If i have 20 blue implants i should be able to move it up to gold.

They should have made a legendary tengu. Maybe that one is next

the reason why I, and many other players used and played chain gunn 8 was cus ITS FREE!!! not cus its popular, or good at all. im sure the devs collects data of how much damage output or even kills made by chaingun itself. not much tbh, and even the blueprints are super rare to drop unless u sped em up by acoins. since i got it until now, im only at 3 star level 2. been grinding every single day for over 4 hours a day for the record.

at this point i dont think they will release the gear hub anytime soon.probably like after 3 months or 4.

The implant thing is gonna kill the fun... and I agree on that they dont care for our feedback. they shouldnt remove the implant thing when theyve taken away our acoins gainin ways such as vault blitz 400acoins or other sprees or challenges

Everyone who saw this comment, try to not spend acoins when changing implants. Think carefully if what build ur going to make and put the right implants. They are probably doing this cuz they *might* release gear hub soon and want to make money off acoin purchases

Hi first here!

I just want manual aiming on mobile. The most basic feature of a game. The gameplay is more important that pilot lore.

You've hit all the points that went through my mind when I saw the video. I would want them to keep the old designs as skins personally. PVE sounds interesting and could be way to make them game more diverse, if done well. But honestly those are the two things I actually look forward to everything else just represents that lack of creativity that is making the game stale. The recap was so irrelevant, added the implant removal discount being changed, both point that they aren't focusing on the community. My biggest feedback to them( which has been so, since a year or more now) is to make new mechanics for abilities and attributes of weapons in the game, rather than combining existing ones. Otherwise the game will turn stale sooner or later

Hope they can include mic chat between players in battle,,,,,

They could as some other games do, but it can effect performance and many players use discord anyways. It’s a useful feature but I’d rather they focus on other items personally.

I am just slightly confused about the lack of news related to the gear hub. It is like a middle of August already and still I see or hear NOTHING. I am worried that I may be forced to abandon old account just to gain an access to that quality-of-life update. I kind of don't want to do that, beacuse I bought a fair amount of weapons and mechs for real cash. Of course everyting was within a price tag of 5-6 bucks, but still, these were 5-6 bucks and no one loves to loose money

First things first, who asked for another dash mech, did they run out of ideas or something? Most of us waiting for legendary md because there is only one healer mech in the entire game. Secondly, why a third legendary close quarter, 2 was enough for the most of the people. Thirdly, like you said, what is the point of having hangar presets if we dont have freedom over implants or the meta being sniper weapons and discs. And finally, where is gear hub, everybody asks for it and still no answer. Wow payrium, you didnt failed to disappoint us yet again

Eclipse is a bitch to fight against. I’m a tank/ support player and he’s such a big problem to deal with. Gosh he’s hard core I also want neev as a new pilot I wanna know where I can get it. And yes finally a military look of the new mechs

Possibly. I at least appreciate that they are starting to expand heavy duty and barrage. But since artillery is still only rocket mortars, it seems kinda silly…

True, but that was only recently. The data they talked about was likely gathered before that recent event. Plus those playoffs usually groups players in brackets of 200 and only the top 3 win the item. So it still would suggest a niche amount that’s not entirely reflective to his value. That all said-huge Grats on getting him in the playoff! He’s an awesome mech 😊

Im not sure what a giratina is, but the thumbnail is from concept art Plarium shared a while back when the concept of a pve mode was discussed. Since they brought it back up in this Dev Vlog (and the recent dev talk) I figured it made sense to show it.

As someone who has played for about 3 years I can say with certainty you don't want to return

the disconnect is real. I played world of warships 6 years, love historic content, but the devs are looking at spreadsheets instead of listening to the playerbase, loyal players like me are leaving in droves for lower caliber sub 35% win rate (experts) Apparently investing tens of thousands of dollars into a game over that 6 year time does not show up on said spreadsheets. I left the game, only to come here to mech arena, fool me twice shame on me lol. You know the score Scape and it is refreshing to see you call it for what it is, but there is nothing you or the playerbase can do about devs that dont even play their own game.

Sup Scape, I see u too disappointed by the devs proposal to bring back that old feature that EVERYONE HATES. I lost a lot of friends b4 they implemented it. At least make it cheaper than b4, that was way to much A-coins to remove implants from legendary pilots 😕

I say this every time I play, "damn I really miss Mech Arena back when the developers had true love for the game, it was such a blast to play!" I felt their shift from love to relentless greed. I feel bad for the MA players that didn't get to experience MA when the developers had more love for the game than greed. The game just feels bad now. it's disappointing what greed does, they are only using us.!

So, for the type of game that MA is I just can’t understand what the deal is with their pricing. Everything about the game drives you to the store witch is not overall fun or filling and even if you do the very act of spending money diverts to to spend more. There’s no such thing as a good deal in this game when it comes to actually throwing down cash. They want $15 for 3 Star Jav 16? Hollow Knight was that much for the whole game, hundreds of hours of incredible entertainment experience. What do you get for that in MA? A lesson to never spend money again. I accidentally purchased the Grav Beam 10’s thinking they were the 12’s, I tried to get a refund and they said that was “impossible”. Then I told them I’d give them another $14 to remove the 10’s from my hanger again, “impossible” and couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t want a 10 energy weapon taking up a slot on my legendary blueprint rolls 🙄. Sorry for ranting. I really do like this game, but nearly everything worthwhile is paywalled to the extreme and I can’t play enough to get the few Acoins that are up for grabs (I rarely ever even get 50 from tournaments😢) I just see that there is a deep, complex, competitive and above all fun game in there to go along with amazingly cool design, they just need to get out of their own way.

GIVE ME SUGGESTION GUYS. I have maxed out my killshot but i equipped it with disc launched 8 because I have no other weapon. Now I have 2 ideas 1. To buy disc launched 12 then make a second copy of it and equip them to killshot. 2. To wait until gear hud and then buy disc launched 16 and equip it to killshot along with 8. Which idea is better ?

Devs legitimately have no creativity and it’s a shame. This is getting boring as all hell. By the way I had another look at shotgun vs fragment gun and fragment gun has a way smaller range. At the same time it has the same damage per shot and fire rate.

At this point i don't really care about a pve mode it's obviously just plareum trying to distract us from the ruined vault blitz dumb plan to remove the free implant swap and the horrible choice to move away from the art style that makes this game stand out from WR and it's copys.
