I agree that’s the case with regular people in life. But when you choose to be a public figure and expect regular people to patronize your product you don’t owe them an explanation but it’s probably in your best interest to give them one if you want them to continue to support you. But he chooses not to don’t complain in your career struggles. Just like if you have a job and you choose to slap a coworker. Your job will probably ask for an explanation. You can chose not to give one but don’t complain if they fire you. Your job pays you they can take that money away. Will smith’s fans pay him, they can also take that money away.

So I am a Will Smith fan, and I am also a Chris Rock fan, and the only person that is owed an apology, is Chris Rock. So Will Smith at the event where this happened, the Oscars, said in the very moment of how much he regretted what had just happened, and I believe there’s been subsequent efforts on his part to try to mend fences with Chris Rock. So I understand how difficult it is particularly for men to own up to their mistakes, and issue apologies, and for men to accept a generally heartfelt apology, because I think that’s what that was, and unfortunately, the 2 men for whatever reason, simply have not been able to move past this, and come together in solitary, and say, hey, we’ve reconciled our differences, and it’s time to move on and I think until that happens a lot of people are going to continue to take sides, and that is tragic, and so all those who are closely associated with these 2 men who had a moment needs to understand, that until there’s a reconciliation between the 2 of them this tragedy will continue to play out, and I think that’s where I would like to leave this.
