Funny thing is, the Federal Republic during its early stage was very conservative, bordering on authoritarian at times. It was dominated by the CDU (when it was still a legit conservative party), most Germans were more concerned with rebuilding and prospering than navel gazing as they are today, and social mores were still very strict. Many former junior NSDAP members staffed the bureaucracy during the 50's and 60's. It wasn't until the advent of the "68ers" in the late 60's that social attitudes began to change and the internalised guilt trip started for real.

They wouldn't want another Battle of Concord incident to foil their plans to turn America into Amerika, or Nanking or Gaza, (for example) or a Warsaw Ghetto,, or Auschwitz after all! Surely. they wouldn't want a white supremacist radical name such as "Patriot" for their air defense missiles! Big Pharma only has Dr. Josef Mengele/ Nuremberg Nazi Convict "Immunity"! Today on "Things i pulled out of my ass" On a more serious note, they did lower the minimum sentences for posession, acquisition, and distribution of CP. The reason for this is that the minimum sentence was was raised to a year in 2021, which makes it a felony in the german legal system, but it was later lowered to 6 months for distribution and 3 for possession and acquisition, which makes it a misdemeanor. The reason for this is that, legally, if someone came into the possession of such material without criminal intent, say, a parent found this material on a device owned by their kid, they would still technically have to be charged for it. With a minimum sentence of a year, however, that makes it a felony, which cannot be dropped so easily. If this same parent, for some reason, chose to forward this material to other parents to alert them, that would technically still count as distribution, and would also have to be charged accordingly.

27:14 is so true. My Dad went to East Germany just after the fall of the Berlin Wall and had a conversation with a lady in her 80s (so born around 1910). After telling her that he is from Switzerland she was astonished and said: "I can't believe I'm still experiencing this, Swiss tourists!" What a life she must have lived. WWI as a young infant, The Weimar period as a teen and young adult, WWII as an adult, living in a communist state until she was old and then witnessing the reunification of Germany. It really puts things into perspective.

Ironically you are supporting the furtherance of feminist agendas by calling it decadent. The technology involved changes the exchange method, but trading resources for sexual stimulation is as old as humans. You are discussing which group gets to set the terms of the exchange. In any scenario, a vast majority of men will be left pulling their puds. With prostitution one can at least pay directly for access. OF is just window shopping. Marriage is just a very bad service contract. Pay once, pay forever, pay a severance fee to break the contract... you always pay. The little secret women want to hide is that they only offer access to sex. Nothing else. You can hire any other service traditionally female provided without stigma, just not access to sex. Think how stupid this is?

Germany should have looked to their smaller neighbur and have gained the understanding that trade, cooperation with all kinds of ethnicities and cultures, smart diplomacy and (but relatively limited)military action. These were applied carefully over hundreds of years. But no Prussian military traditions and taking the worst methods of empire and turning these up a notch was the chosen path. So when did the Nazis kill the Jews in the Holocaust? Was it near the end of the war when they were almost completely out of food when everyone, including their citizens, were starving? I've looked into it and had a hard time finding a clear answer. I've read that all German citizens were on a strict food ration, so it's pretty understandable if they chose to withhold food from POWs rather than their citizens who were already on rations. This is a very good analysis, and it really shines light on a forgotten & misunderstood era of German history. I really appreciate this given that ALL the explanations of National Socialism I've seen to date mostly approach it from a Marxist perspective of the Nazi's being a reaction to materialist factors like poverty, economic depression, & propaganda. None of those explanations ever seemed quite right to me, even growing up, as they just gloss over culture and history, which get's explained away as just "hate"... I mean ok, but WW2 was kind of big... you need ALOT more to explain it. I suppose the upshot to the West being the new Weimar is that history never repeats! Unfortunately the downshot is that history often rhymes...

Great video, generally agreed with most of it.. but he kinda lost me at the end.. like the last 5 mins.. because here’s the thing, the mainstream conservative movement, it’s establishment & ideology has been absolutely & hopelessly unable to even come close to stopping (even delaying) the radical destruction of our nations & native populations.. Imagine, we are now at the point where the current elites are gleefully enacting policy explicitly designed to mass colonize white majority nations with foreigners from the southern hemisphere, in such large numbers that immigration isn’t even a accurate description, colonization is. It’s actually the largest mass colonization in human history. They’re doing this while virtually all mainstream media & academia pushes explicitly racist & hateful propaganda aimed at the said historic white populations. It’s so extreme & ‘in your face’ that there’s no denying that this extreme prejudice they hold against us has now become an existential threat. They created circumstances where the only way we can even have a chance of survival is becoming the very “boogy man” they constantly lament.. The very minimum the increasingly displaced white populations desperately need advocates, (which currently isn’t tolerated or allowed) our own institutions and a collectivization where we can meaningfully identify & pursue our interests, not in service of global domination or some sort of supremacy, but to literally exist. To prevent ourselves from all ending up like the Boers in South Africa or much worse (which I think is more likely, there’s never been a population demonized this much that wasn’t eventually genocided)

South Africa was a dead land when the Boers arrived, the Zulus and others having raided and slaughtered the few African tribes that tried animal husbandry and farming. The land was unarable, which led the raiders to kill even more, claiming they'd cursed the land. No, but if you burn the crops and kill the animals, nothing will grow. The Boers' mistake was letting the blacks in at all. They should have kept it an ethnostate, because immediately the blacks started whining about apartheid and various "charity groups" around the world used the fact that it was black vs white to claim that the whites were oppressing the native blacks. This would be akin to the British claiming persecution after invading and occupying Ireland, and the rest of the world demanding that the Irish give Ireland back to its original and rightful owners, the English.

When they arrived, it had been scoured of nearly all life by frequent raids from the northern tribes and the land was unfit for agriculture. The Boers made the land livable and founded the nation, then their mistake was letting the other Africans in. That let people exploit the "African = black" idea and claim that the Boers were oppressing the natives, rather than foreigners moving into SA and then agitating for greater power. It's the equivalent of the English moving into Ireland and then claiming to be oppressed.

30:11 - I lived in Cuba during the most repressive years of Castro''s socialist revolution, when the relationship with the soviets was at its highest point, and I can attest to the fact that the most ardent and vocal supporters of the regime were women between the ages of 15 to 35. Ironically, many of these once ardent and vocal female supporters have come to the US, and now have social media accounts on which they post images flaunting their new capitalistic consumerist ways of life. Some have even altered their names to sound more American. I do not criticize their new life but the contrast is dramatic for those of us that knew them from back in the day.

Calling a little BS on the weimar hyperinfllation. The treaty of Versailles wasn't paid off by printing money, but rather printing money was in part a result of how they paid it. Whereas a 4% tax on everything would have paid off the treaty in a reasonable amount of time, the very left leaning Weimar government wanted to do things the easy way. They took out a bunch of foreign loans (mostly from French and British banks), used those to pay off the treaty and then defaulted on those loans. This left the Weimar government completely bankrupt, so to cover all of their spending (on top of the massive inflation that was happening from German policy in WW1), they started printing massive amounts of money which lead to hyperinflation. The cause of hyperinflation then wasn't the treaty of Versailles itself but how the left leaning Weimar Republic decided to handle it.

Today, 75 percent of this group votes Democrat, and are renowned as a very literate and powerful class. I do not like socialism. Right off the bat, I know I'm going to hate your theory, so what I write here might be slightly biased towards whatever you have to say. The Weimar republic existed for 15 years, from 1918-1933. It was created after Germany had lost WWI, millions had died, and their economy was in ruins. The contrast between Weimar and what came before was uniquely stark, and it was a time of seismic social and political shifts. Furthermore, they lived through the great depression where everyone lost their money. Our current "degenerate" western world order has existed for 50 years, I guess, and a billion people live under it. There are very few people alive in the west whose lives have been shaped by war and hard times. We are not beset by enemies. So we are not the new Weimar. That's my argument. "During the weimar republic, germany faced feminization and german men were emasculated." - WTF does that mean? Why has testosterone levels declined in our times? Maybe because people don't do much physical labour anymore. Did you consider that? - Shameless pitch of protein supplements - 12:30 "The kinds of people who dominated in the Weimar period were those who were impractical: the artists, degenerates, socialites and libertines." - Did they really? I highly doubt they had much bearing on politics and the economy. If they were so powerful, why didn't they legalize homosexuality? 15:35 You're seriously going to make an argument that PRACTICAL and livable housing units that can house thousands of people is some kind of communist conspiracy? 16:52 "You can make an argument that art today has not escaped the mold which was set by ... Weimar" - Directly stating that the art we have today came from Weimar and hasn't evolved much. Absurd!!! The artistic style of that period was a global phenomenon, and art has evolved many times since in many different kinds of new mediums. 17:50 "You hear stories about (degeneracy)" - Oh that's just great. I've heard stories that you are a crypto fascist. So why should anyone listen to you? :) 20:00 Go touch grass. 20:17 "The Weimar period is still part of roughly the same historic period today" - And here we go, completed working backwards to reach your ass backwards conclusion. Good job. 20:47 "The modern west is a creation of Weimar." - Insanity! You see what you want to see through a ridiculous narrow set of lenses. 21:12 And here we go with the "Frankfurt school". 22:48 Exactly. We didn't just come out of a world war where millions died. We don't have millions of traumatized soldiers and civilians. We didn't go through a depression where everyone lost all their money. We didn't just industrialize 20 years ago. We are not surrounded by enemies. Our population and our circumstances are completely different to that of the Weimar republic. So what the hell are you talking about? If you find the words "prostitude" and "brothel" too offensive to not bleep out, you should consider bleeping out your entire conspiratorial essay, because it's offense to the human intellect. 34:25 "I think most people in the west today wants a clean, family oriented nationalistic government" - Oh really, why don't you look at the polls instead of guessing? Furthermore, what the hell do you mean by "clean"? Do you realize how terrible this sounds? Yes, we are seeing some really concerning trends in our times. A lot of young people getting their direction from the likes of Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro and Whatifalthist. Young people not having sex anymore and just staying at home. The death of social mobility. It's very concerning, and none of it is more than tangentially connected to the events that transpired in the Weimar republic between the world wars. We can learn a lot of lessons from the fall of Rome and the rise of Hitler, but it we want to use history as a lens to understand our current society, we actually have to use all of history, not just the big memorable events (and no, you can't just arbitrarily segment history to fit your narrative). You are too narrow in the way you study history and apply it to today, working backwards from your conclusion. That's my ultimate criticism of your work. Nobody will become wiser by suffering through your essay. EDIT: And my hypothetical counter argument to explain what's going on in our society today with this right wing resurgence will start with human nature and examine the material conditions afterwards. After all, it's not working class people struggling to get by that support Trump. It's the lower middle class, people who have time and money, and they're angry as hell. But more than anything, they are LARPing, bothering other people to find some form of meaning in a meaningless existence. The same can be said of a lot of lefties and the "blue maga" crowd. They are all stupidly LARPing, treating politics like a team sport, pushing society towards a confrontation that nobody wants. Only after firmly asserting this will I begin looking at socio-economics factors.

He gets a number of points way off. I’m presuming he’s referring to events which came AFTER the Weimar, even after WWII altogether. Alfred Kinsey was after WWII in publishing his work that 10 percent of the men in prison were homosexual. Bikini was named for Bikini Atoll, where nuclear bomb tests occurred. I could go on, but he’s lost. Also prostitution is not as needed in terms of a physical sex act when people masturbate to pornography.

Concerning tolerance of alternate sexualities, he did say in the same sentence, before 1960. Compared to other societies they did have more tolerance of other sexualities for the early 20th century. In fact the first major motion pictures portraying same-sex romances were released in the Weimar Republic with the first film portraying the romance of two men in 1919 and the first major motion picture of the romance between two women in 1931. Sure, homosexual relationships were not considered marriages in the Weimar Republic or societies in general around the world in the 1920s or 1930s, they did make relative strides in tolerance for the time in the era of the Weimar.

You seem to take issue with any suggestion that there are philosophical links between the modern progressive movement and the Frankfurt school, but you also didn't really elaborate. I'll straight out say it: I think it's pretty obvious the transgender movement is a direct outcropping of these works that survived and the fear of having it destroyed again. It's the same kind of dissatisfaction with their own bodies and desire to experiment with this driving the individuals involved. I don't disagree with many of your points except that I do not think you accurately portray support for various sides. There are a lot of normal rational people who are caught between the two political parties, some who are struggling to get by and many who are not. I'm sure there are a lot of small business owners who have not been happy with democrat politics. Unions are going in either direction, many still democrat. Nor are Christians larpers or such. With all the propaganda going around, it's pretty much impossible to tell someone's values by a vote between these corporate party sides.

Probably the biggest struggle I have debating with some of my peers (gen-z or some younger millenials) is that my views stem from fundementally different perspective. They view things like sexuality, gender (ex. par excelance) as coming from within or the individual, whilst my perspective is more sociological or trans-individual. For instance: to them - someone is homosexual because they themselves claim so, because is how they "feel" to me - someone is homosexual when they they indulge in something (activity, thoughts, attraction/feeling) that the society considers as such (i.e. being "gay"), e.g. seeking (homo)sexual intercourse It may sound like they are the same picture, but it often makes it really complicated to find an agreement on even the same ideas unless you find someone openminded and willing to listen (luckily I have one such friend where we pretty much always disagree, yet agree on the reason we disagree as basically just possible alternative based on different premises)

Societies require cohesiveness and shared culture at the highest unit of account that has a monopoly on the use of force. No higher, no lower. In the case of the jungle, it meant your family group. In pre-history, it meant your tribe. In ancient history, it meant your tribe, Polis, or empire, depending on where you lived and the level of development. In the case of the medieval world, it grew to mean your lord's estates. In the case of early modern Europe, it meant the various monarchical realms. In the case of ever since, including the current modern world, it has meant nation states. There must be a shared identity, culture, history, nationality, ideology, etc to some extent at this level. The unity can be varied but the unity at SOME level that all agree upon must be there, whether that be some constitution, culture, nationality, etc. The modern west threw out nationality without anything to replace it and our "multicultural" societies are now collapsing because there is quite literally no glue that holds them together; system reform, a war of supremacy or Balkanization is inevitable. All attempts to change things to internationalism or subnational identity groupings are doomed to failure, because in essence you are asking people to pretend that a community exists where it doesn't (internationalism/multiculturalism), or pretend a community is more important where ultimately it has no authority and can be supplanted or forced with a gun into a subordinate role (subnational identity efforts under a wider aegis like Islamic enclaves in Europe, militia groups in the US, independent native movements in Canada/NZ, LGBT, black activism in the USA, etc). Supranational blocs like the EU can work, but only insofar as they hold legitimacy and integrate properly. Things like the UN, WTO, global communism, feminism, "minority rights" etc however, are all false idols that just lead to conflict without benefit. It's not that you can't plug in to these various groupings if they appeal to you, it's just that all must recognize that the nation state remains paramount and it must remain the focus. Attempts to analyze things outside of the nation state level and the assurance of its cohesiveness, including appeals to "diversity as a strength", are all either misguided or grounded in nefarious motivations like a desire to destabilize with a communist endgoal.
