I look at trikes like motorcycles and trikes. Some people (like myself) that have a hard time landing a trike would help from falling and breaking a leg or arm. Motorcycle riders are thinking the same. Some people can't hold up a big bike anymore and switch to a trike. When it comes down to it who cares your (riding) flying. Enjoy it how ever you can do it

Highly recommend Trike flying ... yes it can be harder with take off (less forgiving if your not straight into wind ..and you certainly need to have your kiting skills on point .. ) but once in the air the benefits come thick and fast (no jumping in the seat .. no being out of breath after running in nil wind ... and no having to jump out the seat to prepare for landing ) ..you can also land in multi direction as the wheels are easier to run off the speed .. I trained on foot launch .. but moved to trike as I wanted to feel more secure in flight .. glad I did and enjoying the learning .. For all people of any age / physical ability / aptitude .. it’s worth the time if foot flight isn’t your thing . Glad you are showing this as an option tucker 👍👍😎 and glad to see some new potential pilots willing to try something they thought was never within their grasps .. Looking forward to future videos..🪂
thats great, it even comes with a coffin
I was thinking the same thing in regard to whether a person should get a foot launch or a trike (or a quad). I'd much rather be flying than wishing I was flying. When I trained with TFH at the Salton Sea last March, there were a ton of trikes around. And they certainly have their advantages over foot launch. I think they are pretty sweet rigs, myself.

Watch it Mister! You're walking a fine line here! 2020 is some strange times bro! I would've never thought I would be transitioning to foot launch while Tucker is learning to fly trike. What's next???
"The cats are really excited to see us" The cats: 😐
I was really about to finally jump on a wing purchase and get started. Then at work a 2,000 pound beam crashed down on me while up in a man lift. After being crushed I fell hard. I broke pretty much EVERYTHING. I came back better than anyone could imagine! Spent a long time watching tucker from a hospital bed. I am about to ride my harley to Phoenix today and do most of my hobbies again. I walk fine but could probably never foot launch. Thank you Tucker for bringing a cool look at this!
You summed up really well what I've been feeling about my Rider for a while. It's nice equipment, but the unorganized feel has its drawbacks. This has been my first year of flying, and I've been having a lot of trouble with my forward launches. Come to find out: in the spaghetti of my harness straps, I had slightly misrouted one of my legstraps; causing a reasonable weight-shift every time I tried to forward. It was no big deal once I was in the air, but on nil wind days it made things almost impossible to launch. While I don't mind how it looks you're right; the disorganization can hide potential problems.
After three decades of service in our armed forces (USN Ret.), I left with some aches and pains, which will not allow me to strap on a 60-80lbs motor on my back and run 100 yards, but if a trike can make that happen I’d love to experience this paramotor sport (Tucker keep me in mind when your search begins for eager volunteers to fly with you on your new trike). Enjoy your videos, you make paramotoring look like so much fun. ⚓️
Congrats Tucker. On the day my foot-launched PPG shipped, I broke my foot. I was able to temporarily borrow a trike to mount my Moster to in order to get in the air sooner during the healing process. I know what you mean about steering sensitivity/steerability at higher speeds. Someone recommended I rig some bungee cords to the front wheel chassis to keep both sides in tension. Still easy to steer, but provides some extra dampening at higher speeds. It made a HUGE difference in stability. YMMV, but something to consider playing with if needed. Also, trikes can be EXTREMELY tail heavy when no one is in the seat. It could be very easy to tip on its back and crack a prop or cause other damage if the wing catches some wind during setup while you are out of the seat - something a foot-launcher might not see coming. It's possible your trike could be more stable than mine was, just something to keep in mind while you are getting to know this machine. I'm probably one of the few guys who have broken a prop without the engine running (lesson 1). Which led to lesson 2: how to salvage a cracked e-prop . . .
Excited for your upcoming trike videos! Do reckon you'll love it. I'd say Judson flew the flash AT LEAST half the time he was in the air during my class the 2nd week. I got to ground handle and it's quick and snappy for sure.
I guess I have to admit that I’m too old for the foot launched design. I have enough titanium parts, wires, and screws that I could probably build a trike for small frogs. Last November marked 46 years since my first solo in a Cessna 152. I moved up through fixed wing aircraft to a Lear 35. Bored with glass panels, autopilots, and ATC, I soloed a helicopter 22 years ago. I felt like I had rediscovered the joy of flight. Your aviation adventures have rekindled my excitement for something new and exciting. Thank you for introducing a new dream.
TGE Tucker Gott Experience , interviews in the air :) sweet new ride.
Your insight is spot on. Is it better to sit and a couch and watch other people do it? vs. find a way to get it done even if it requires a trike! This question can pretty much be used for anything. Need to get out and DO it.
Love this thing! I knew a guy 20+ years ago with one but minus the advanced designed improvements. This looks very cool! Great vid!

@Tucker Gott, you've helped veterans get into the sport. I am eternally grateful for that because I'm a disabled US Army veteran with bad ankles. I NEED the trike because my days of running are well over. An emotionally painful topic because I won regional champion for cross-country running when I was in high school. I dearly miss the freedom I felt by running, however, you've inspired me to learn all I can about this sport to experience a similar freedom; albeit a different way. So to those that think this is just an "old guy" matter, put yourself into my shoes. I'm sure you'll rethink trikes if you do.
Nice new bit of kit Tucker. I agree with you that all the straps and buckles do seem like a distraction. Clean lines and simplicity is desirable I think. Having more of a safety cage is also potentially beneficial. Thanks for posting.
Or you could put a tray for chick-fil-a or McDonald’s.
Hey Tucker, Very nice new rig man!!! Trikes are not just for old people, they are for people that want to fly!!! I totally feel you on the amount of straps and buckles, its a lot to keep track of and from what I can tell and from watching your videos you like to master your craft and when a ton of new variables get thrown into the mix, it make your brain kick into overdrive and there is nothing wrong with being cautious and achieving mastery of the craft. I'm sure you will be badassing this thing in no time. Keep up the great work man!! One day ill get me some gear and get in the air.
I’m a disabled vet and just getting into PPG. Bought my unit with a trike. I don’t think of myself as an old guy, just have limited ability to pack it on my back and foot launch. BTW, is that an old Bonneville under the cover ?
It sucks getting old. It's good to see that there are still options for old geezers with heel tendinitis like me (can't run fast enough without pain and risking severe injury/detachment), should I ever get the money to try that sport. >Sigh< to be young again!
I’ve been flying a trike for over 3 years & I love it. I love coming down for a long taxi & then popping back up in the air. I don’t care what anyone says about trikes, trikes are definitely fun to fly.
7:40 seems like a great place for some RAM Mount products :D love those for mounting stuff to my motorcycle :D
Great Video Tucker... from an OLD, Disabled Guy dreaming of flying one day! Looking forward to the next Video on this Trike! 😎👍
I like the Retracta Trike. It’s the bare minimum for a trike stable and even tucks away even more in flight, uses a regular paramotor harness. If need be you can land on your feet with you standing up the trike will dangle around knee height.
Hi, trike user here, I'm only a student with 1 hour flight time. It wasn't my first choice, but the paramotor wasn't good for me due to an old motorcycle incident. I'm happy with this choice, it was a great experience.
Hey Tucker & Jaclyn..this is what would help a nice lady I met who has short legs & couldn't get airborne (no wind) today .. her flying partner was tall/long legged..he had such an easier time.. was awsome to see they were "Do not report Tucker Gott" fans! They learned @ Aviator PPG too! Was so cool meeting them, I have total respect for the process & effort required for a good launch, but seeing it in person is really reinforcing.. want to get into the sport as soon as I can do so in a manner that is financially prudent🤞😁👍
I’m never going to fly one of your contraptions but you are entertaining and have a positive attitude which is why i watch. Good job.
If you connect springs on each end of the front steering, it will allow it to self centre and make it easier to steer at high speeds.
@dougscott8161

The Fresh Breeze Fly Pod has a reverse cantilevered front wheel which is supposed to be self centering.
Thanks for your comments about the trike stigma. I've been hesitant to jump into the sport because of a concern about my aged knees, add to that the thought that I don't want to be the lame old guy on the trike. I think I just need to get over myself and go freaking fly!!! I look forward to your first flights and comment flying the trike. Thanks, Tucker!
Fixed wing pilot here, cannot imagine taxiing something with tricycle gear very fast without the passive aerodynamic stabilization! That trike looks scary but also really fun! Lol
Trike Safety: Do you need a bigger reserve parachute for the trike? If so, where are you going to carry it? Are you going to practice deploying it? Also, with all those new straps and wires do you need to go around the trike and tie them down so they don't get sucked into the prop? Do you need to do a safety check like you would on a small plane? Do you need to do flight plans? I would think so because if you have a motor out landing and taking off again might not be as easy...
That thumbnail....😃😃 priceless. Love your videos no matter the content.
@5:51 That's strange, safety first. We'll go ahead and skip that. LOL, you're killing me smalls!
Best go cart/Trike ever!
I can strongly recommend the single seat FOXY Trike from Fly products. During the flight, you ve the same feeling like on a food lounge paramotor as no straps are hanging around.
You never disappoint! Thanks!!
You could color/paint all of the mount points for their configuration use. That way you know you can ignore all the blue bits when flying solo etc.. Might be less overwhelming
I foot launch and have a trike. I enjoy both. The best is when I takeoff and land on my trike it is like a plane and touch and gos are a blast.

Paramotoring must be amazing. How old are you and could you give me some advice on where to start paramotoring (Netherlands)
Most any "lod" (me 64, 2+yrs now ppg) would have already explained how the trike or quad can go way faster on the ground than in the air. Most do no have brakes and get skittish pretty quick when driven. Personally I found the A assist required pretty straight in to the wind for launch. I removed mine and went to manual. Though Tucker inspired me it wasn't to "fly" like him. My fly is cross country and if I could make it fly slower I probably would. I can treetop and fly low like I did for 40 years in my hot air balloon. I don't need a crew and can return to my start point. I do like to pull a tight turn and fell my butt pushed down in the seat but mostly just love the vantage and cruise. It's all about what you want from it. Wheels work for me!
I am genuinely confused as to how anyone could ever click the thumbs down button on any of Tuckers videos.... I just discovered this channel and I've never known how much i want to fly
I like how she carries it with one hand and he uses two.. She's a beast.. LoL.... Seriously awesome.. can't wait to see first flight.. Safe flying :D
FINALLY!! I love my wheels! More and more younger guys are getting trikes and quads because we make it look so easy. I do agree on having to disassemble. I never disassemble my quad. It fits perfectly in my 6'x10' cargo trailer with plenty of cargo space to spare. I am 100% self taught and was in the air on my very first attempt. My bucket seat is so comfy its like flying a recliner!! #ppgadventures
my first tandem scared the crap out of me,,, i think it was wrong weather... but when you get ready tucker... i want another fide
Hurry up and take a flight I can't wait!
I am 60 and a year ago I went from footlaunch on a Maverick to a Fly Products Rider and Foxy trike. Still has a lot of weight shift and the trike only weighs 9kg. Had a Flash Cruiser but sold it as here in the UK we are not allowed to fly tandem trike, only tandem footlaunch. Silly rule as a tandem trike launch would probably be safer but hey this is the UK :(
Old guy from Sweden with ms and due to that can't run (walk with a crutch). Really looking forward to see more of this trike stuff which would be my only option to do paramotoring.
Looking forward to the next vid. You rock :)
Can’t wait to see you get to fly the trike! That thing looks like it’s gonna be a lot of fun.
You can get some velcro straps and just wrap up the extra buckles, belts, and whatnot. So you keep the versatility, but aren't inconvenienced by it.
YOU BETTER DO SOME FLY CAMPING WITH THIS THING! I bet you could strap on all the gear you needed for a good time!!
Now you'll need to figure out where to put a phone and camera mount on the thing. And maybe some other odds and ends, perhaps a radio and transponder too.
You spooked me when you started opening that box. I thought maybe The Thing from Outpost 31 might be in there!
Before I continue watching the video: Trikes are certainly not only for old people, of course the backpack is cool but a trike has something for itself and you can say you fly a small ultralight plane =). I'm from Germany and plan to make the licenses here next year. But there are not so many German channels with quality. Therefore one switches gladly to American channels. Here you have an A license, you are only allowed to land where you started and not above a certain altitude. Then there is the B license, with this you are allowed to make long distance flights. (Typical German, so many rules and bureaucracy ^^) . Hope there will be more videos with the trike! =)
Once again Thank You,May you have a Blessed you Tucker

Lookin good. That pallet was so light the driver and you could have carried it to your garage. LOL ... It will be great to see the flight differences between the Moster and the Cosmos, once you get it. I hope you set up a couple Benchmarks to do comparision tests. Very cool 👍😎👍
Oh man, not being able to see this thing in action yet is verging on painful. I can only imagine how it must feel to have this thing sitting in your shop, waiting for the weather so you can use it for the first time.
A corpse always leaves a lot of questions. One of the most common is "What was the (immediate) cause or mechanism of Death. First, Death is not an exclusive experience; we will ALL experience it at least once, up close and very personally. It is cessation of Life. "But what did this person die of?" Other than clipping a stone wall at 200 mph on a motorcycle at the Isle of Mann TT, or one specific medical issue, a great many of us live long lives, give our loved ones uncounted headaches with un-calculated risks, and die, full of Life Experience and wanting more. One if the MOST COMMON causes of Death is "An Accumulation Of Deficiencies." As an "Old Guy," I've accumulated a great many Deficiencies. But I've been a "Wise Chicken" and spread the risks over many years, accumulating my deficiencies slowly, stopping just short of Death many times and extending the Joy of Life until my body is mostly used up. There's nothing wrong with being Old. There's nothing wrong with being (or acquiring) Disabilities and Deficiencies. Just ... take your time about it. Know what Discomfort REALLY means ... (Heads Up!) ... and keep the brakes on as your body approaches Damage and Destruction. John Wayne, dying, said "I'm a greedy old man. I've had a good life and I want more of it." So live, that you may finish the last quarter of the game. without regrets. I'm in my 8th decade, and I wanna go flying.
I got to fly tandem on a trike and it was a blast. Have fun with your new toy.
You should meet up with peter sripol and use this motor to build a mini airboat or snow skimmer. The larger prop would give more traction for an airboat to get on plane.
I’ve been wanting to try an intro flight. I did some ground handling with my cousin’s buddy’s wing. If you take me for a PPG flight I’ll take you up in a J3 Cub!

This is good, because eventually your legs and knees start to have issues...so it is nice there is an option for people that don't want to bust themselves trying to partake in a hobby they love.
I love your channel. I flew a powered parachute back around 1998. I think it was a six chuter. I wasn’t that confident with the training back then, and I don’t think that the training really existed like it does today. I had purchased a powered parachute (1998) from a company in New Jersey but they didn’t really offer training or at least not where I lived. I ended up selling the powered parachute without ever flying it. Well actually, I took it out to try to kite once but a gust of wind came up and I went airborne. Terrified me and I sold it and bought a sea•doo instead. Not sure if I’d ever try this again but if I do it will be a trike. I have a bad knee from multiple knee injuries.
Simple answer to your question Tucker YES!!they are for Fat Old Men with large LZ LOL. Aviator tried so hard to get me to go TRIKE at 55 years old and 5'8' 265 lbs and total knee replacements ya Eric told me trike was the way to go well I wouldn't hear of it So I lost 100 lbs and completed the aviator course and here I am 4 years after school 100 hours in the air as a foot launch pilot and I'm so glad I didn't cave in. BTW tucker you were on hand when I took delivery of my nitro 200 thanks for the photo op it's a day i will cherish for ever.

Thats not a shed ! its an aircraft hangar, you could fly indoor models in that place, fabulous building ! trikes have a lot of appeal to many and looking forwards to seeing you fly this machine, you should have no problems handling it with your experience in flying.
Can't wait to see you fly that thing looks awesome..
