For some reason at the end I see at least 1 of the Bactrian Guards, the one that broke first at exhausted state. And the Bactrian general also used Frenzy, which is horrible on him and make him exhausted too.

Very interesting battle. I’ve played against two of the attackers before very good players. I’m not sure about defenders though. They did come prepared with thieros spears and agema spears. Defenders should have had archer superiority esp with baktria and macedon. Why no elephants? chariots? Multiple pikes with all three factions?Heavy melee cav? Odryssian Kingstown no armor and I think. No shieldwall and 125 range archers. Excellent commentary and tips and tricks and arrows. “I think when you are dealing with multiple units with multiple javis five I think turn off auto fire” good battle though entertaining. Keep them coming bud.

Imagine if defenders just held the chokepoints more and only fired arrows/javelins whenever the nobles advanced to the frontline of said choke points. It looked like the defenders would not support the gaps from beginning to end of the battle.

@@joeonitproductions sometimes people don't want to play with you if they think you're too good at the game, but that's how you get good players.... If you play with s*** players every time you're probably not going to be a good player

76 attack power is INSANE!!

I think the defenders actually leaned too hard into Thureos/Agema spears. If was noticeable that, while their javelin were useful, the Thracian nobles cut through them so fast that it made it difficult for the defenders to set up positions which could have allowed them to be used to max benefit.

"glass cannon" faction... but they didnt shoot from them, they throw them inside 🤣

If Defenders actually really want to win, they just need to bring 2 pikes for each player (considering if this is 124), 4 strongest archers/slingers/peltasts. The rest can be whatever, Hoplites to hold or Swords for potential extra javelins

It can be rare, but I have seen defenders win a bunch of times in a row also.

Its all up to the players. It's hard to win in Rome 2 against other players. I still haven't won my first lol

Attackers prepared there attack perfect with there range units before they sended in infantery . By this good preparation the defenders had lesser javelins to use. So in my opinion attackers did a verry smart job. They probably the better players ???? Thanks for sending this vid , So did you now found youre ansewer Joe ???

You've never seen attackers use the tower wall strategy, then make 1 single breach and funnel troops in? I covered a couple of replays recently that had this exact same strategy used. In one of the more recent ones, n the arrow tower strategy was completely blown up and shown to be partially ineffective.

@@joeonitproductions Yeah, I saw that manny times when I still was playing Medival II online . I was specialised in scored resolution and sieges as a defender. Rome II total war is a better version of medival II . Normaly in a scored resolution with 8 players you fight first 1vs1, 1 vs 1 , 1vs1, 1vs1 . And one day afther the first clash, me and 3 otther players where left. And they decided both 3 to attack me ! I didnt survided the game but I won it because I had the most kills . Just saying sommetimes you must micromanaga verry fast and each second sommetimes can change the whole game. I specialy learned every life and unit you choose in the beginning is important ! ! Sometimes I see players in youre vids who letting there units been shot by enemy towers . But the most important is give it all, never give up and HAVE FUN ! !

surely this was a planned battle in discord between all 6 to test? bring 1 cav faction and defenders win ez also holding choke points with the better archers would've won.

@@Pyrrhus_gg Fair. I think we would have done a bit better if the Macedon player would have been more decent. I've made a fair amount of mistakes as well, both when choosing the army comp and also during the battle.
