Love the review! Hung mine up this week :) I feel like all the bad reviews are just from people applying the sticker wrong or having bad walls (shiny wallpaper etc). They do say that if you have bad quality walls the product will not work as intended which is fair! Love that they are at least honest about it

It has a lot more to do with heat. If you're in a room that stays cool and the wall has a smooth surface it's fine. But if your room changes temperatures or has a textured wall, the leaf paper will fall off the wall and the Displate with it. I have I think 10 or so Displates and the two downstairs where it's more climate controlled have stayed on, but the ones I want in my computer room started to fall off and after two of them dropped, I took them all down temporarily. The problem is that I have a gaming computer that heats the room up quite a bit, so the heat is ruining the adhesive leaflet. I'm about to go buy some nails to put through the magnet, which seems to be a common fix for it, even though I would've rather not put little holes in the wall.

Bought 6 on Black Friday. Think they are great. Gonna buy more.

I have 15 Displates. Mostly World War II diagrams. I have a large one of Red Dead Redemtion that sits above my monitors. Never fallen down. Ever. And the extra large is four mediums. At first I did not like it,. But I do like it. Sometimes I break it apart to have a negative space. When I got my second or third one, they did not send me any magnets. I got hold of them, and they sent me a LOAD of magnets. They have a very good customer service.

@@Ben-iy8by Black Friday deal was pretty much -30% to -35% ish when you buy 3 or more. They have similiar discounts multiple times a year for different holidays and such. Im happy with my purchase as they have stayed on the wall nicely. :) Apparently if room temp can go above ~40C it increases the risk of falling a lot. Im considering ordering again later this year.

Yeah I agree, and because they always have a discount it makes you wonder how much they're really worth?

Nice, video really like the fact that you're quite proffesional in your opinion. Personally i have a few of them in my house, and if you have an approach like me, so that you have a few places to hang them, and only switch the plates from time to time - you will allways have free magnets. Aslo my recomendation for the ones that are watching would be to allways try to place + 1 magnet, as sometimes they may fall. In my case this hasnt happened but i allways hang them on +1 magnet (2 for M, 3 for L, i dont have an XL), altough there was time when my parrot liked to sit on one of them :) what's more your wall condition may significantly impact the strength of magnet. Basically if you have a fixed place where you plan to hang them, bolting a neodymium magned may be also a good option.

As I have plenty of Displates (probably over 20), some for over a year now, it is also a good thing to take them off periodically (every few months) and check if the protective leaf sticks to the wall. Also, adding +1 magnet is not a bad idea but from my experience, there's no need to do so

Got 3 - they are all good. I think people are putting them up wrong, also think people are taking them off wrong... good thing about them if you have a bunch is it's easy to swap them around.

I like my displates a lot, I got around 8 or 9, if not 10 , 5 large and some small, very important to clean your wall first otherwise it's gonna fall eventually

Just like you i found displate trough sponsordeal's and adverticing. About a year after i 1st heard of them i bought 3 M size at 33% off(matte) I've yet to put them on the wall(appartment getting a overhaul first), but i can already now say that im pleased with the pictures, and even if there's issues with hanging them im sure i'll find a way.(Also there's several video's showing other options) My "kinda" plan is to get 2-3 more and maby rotate them around, but that's also just because there's a coupon code with 30% off with the 3 i just bought. I read someone els say that it feels like displate's actual price is around the 25-30% off the normal price. Paying full seems a tad expensive, maby that's why they always have a discount code on top of the site. Anyways. Thanks for the video and hope you have a good 1 :)

Still hasn’t fallen for me. As long as it isn’t really humid in the basement then I feel like it would be fine but I can’t 100% promise that. Command strips seem like it would help for extra strength. Or getting more magnets

The wall stickers are crap from my experience. I just drilled a hole in the magnet and screwed it into my wall. Its not going anywhere now and I still get the magnet function.

For the people who ask the question of whether this is worth the money. Just remember that there are people out there who spend millions on art. Comparing Displate to the pictures that i can find in my local stores. I'd say they are moderately priced. They're not cheap. But they're not ridiculously expensive either.

And it gets better if you subscribe to the club. You pay depending on what size and type of Displate you order when you join. For example, when I subscribed I ordered a large matte finish. So they charged me above $100.00 with shipping and taxes and monthly I pay I think $4.99. So for being part of the club, you get one displate each year for free but it has to be a large matte finish like the one when i joined the club. So each year I get one large Matte, free shipping, have first access to limited ones. So at the end, even if you don’t order more at all, you still get one each year for the price of $59.88.

Beware. My displate fell off the wall. The magnet is not that stable as advertised. I am very disappointed. The edges are now damaged.

I live in Germany but sometimes here are coming Tornados because of the climate change are coming Tornados here sometimes, Like every 4 or 5 month, it’s pretty rare until yet but the last was around 1 week ago. And it was 3 at the same city and same time and also at the same day 2 tornados in an other city at the same time and same day so, 5 Tornado at one day in 2 City’s. I hope the tornados won’t come here where I live.
