I have a love hate relationship with the bristlenose pleco. Sometimes I wanna give it a wax since it kinda looks like an old fish who forgot to shave (Im not hurting the fish irl btw) but then again, they are quite feisty little fish and thats what I love about them.

I've only been in the hobby for about a year, but your advice and videos has helped me avoid a lot of mistakes(still made a few!) Just know that you have a fan in a small Welsh town making good use of everything you've said!

Bubble eyed Goldfish 100% agree. I had them once. They just made me sad when I looked at them and they did not live long. Humans can definitely go too far when it comes to line breeding for certain traits.

@@CJ23taylor-animales just because humans can do a thing, doesn't mean they should. Fish with tails so long they can barely swim, goldfish with bubbles under their eyes so large they can barely see, fish with bodies so short that the fish's organs can't grow, bettas breed for a tail trait that comes with many genetic problems. Just don't.

Plecos are definitely an oddity, but they’re cute nonetheless! Parrots, tho never had one, I think it’s cute with it’s little smiling face and striking color.

The flowerhorn lovers are like.. Y do you keep one partner in your whole house.. waste of space😋😋😂

Yea at the aquarium my mom was literally in love with the FH like My Mom :That flowerhorn was sooo nice im with love with him !!!!!!!! his eyes , the way his mouth moved ,he was smiling at me !!! He looked like he was looking at his own mom after years !!!!!!!! Me : He'll probably lip lock with his mom Mom: Oh so he'll kiss her on the lips , he loves her a lot Me : MOM LIP LOCKING MEANS FIGHTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom: He wont do that to his own mom !!!!!!!!!!! Me : Well , if Iris (my betta) has babies and when they grow up and we put one of those male bettas with him , THEY WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom: FH S cannot be as aggresive as a betta Me : We can put other fish with bettas, But not with Flowerhorns !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel it should be banned to breed fish like that because they have so many health issues and it’s honestly animal abuse same with pugs while they are adorable they have so many health issues and honestly who would want to live a life like that

Moral of the story: Beauty is really very, very subjective. I love the balloon mollies, plecos and parrot fish. Maybe cos I own one of each (except for the parrotfish) myself! If Lisa adopts a Pacu she may soon say it's the cutest thing everrr 😄 👍

Plecos are awesome. We got a huge sail fin in our 120 and he is the highlight of the tank. Just awesome looking

Blood Red Parrot Fish are gorgeous! Plus their personalities are awesome. They love to build and spit out rocks and greet you. I have one named Aquarius. I have had him for 2 years now. He’s my buddy! He eats out of my hand and there is a guy online who massages his parrot fish.

I find blood parrot cichlids to be so freaking adorable. I think they are the cutest fish in the hobby, IMO.

Aw, I love Plecos! They remind me of little aquatic dinosaurs.

Honestly as a kid when I saw the bubble-eye goldfish for the first time, I thought it was sick and there was something wrong with it. 😕

People may think that I am weird but the pleco fish are what got me into the hobby I just love them so much but don’t know why

You can go really deep into plecos, with all the varieties and L-numbers. I didn’t get it at first and then I saw some of the rare and beautiful plecos recently introduced to the hobby. I’ll probably get a pleco if I ever have a tank big enough for one.

A recent episode of the Aquarium Co-Op podcast featured the guys from Pleco Paradise who specialize in breeding rare plecos. I was surprised at how much they cared about plecos, but then I saw the pictures on their site and I think I get it now.

Thank you for addressing bubble eyed goldfish and fish in general bred specifically for traits like that. So many people seem to forget that they're living creatures. You're right, it's cruel and wrong. Thank you for bringing attention to it ❤

I disagree with the bristle nose pleco. They are pretty cool looking to me! And the parrot fish is beautiful!

Really enjoyed they are definitely fun to watch I missed taking part in this one. But I look forward to the next one! I don’t know how you manage to keep a straight face sometimes while filming them lol

Flowerhorns are the only fish I’ve kept that everyone actually thought was beautiful and complimented the colors.

I must have a big heart because yeah, I love all of these, lol. I'm new to your channel and have really been enjoying your videos. I used to keep a variety of freshwater tanks in my 30's, everything from 5G up to 55G (community, cold water, species, brackish). Life happened, and I've been out of the hobby for almost 30 years, but I'm starting up again on a small scale (no pun intended). I see there's been so many improvements in the hobby over the years, but thankfully the basics are the same. I'm so looking forward to getting fish again. Doing a fishless cycle now and getting impatient, but...time.........Anyway, thanks again for your awesome, informative and fun videos! They're jogging my memory and I'm learning some new stuff too.

I’m a bit confused. Y’all said that bettas can live with other fish, but can they use the same conditioner, such as Tetra Aquasafe for Betts. Is this one safe for other fish, for example Neon Tetras? Please respond I don’t want my tetras to die. :)

I have a full grown upside down catfish and he is fugly! I love him though, super fun to watch.

You should do a vid on the most beautiful fish, I'll go first - White Cloud Mountain Minnow. OK, they're kinda plain, have no frills, no flamboyance really but they're honest hardy rouges in my opinion who deserve our appreciation. Who doesn't love a big active bunch of them doing their thing which I think makes em beautiful.

My uncle had the bubble eyed goldfish. He had like 6 of them in this massive tank. They were so cute. The store he got them from was shut down a week later.

I feel terrible about the bubble eye’s. It’s messed up to Breed to keep a genetic mutation that affects their quality of life in a negative way.

I am offended that he included plecos on the list 😢😢😢

Pacu,I had a pair in 125 gallon. Great fish ,they acted like dogs . Greeting me when I got home , I fed them grapes and other vegges . Lived 15 + years .

I like how no one mentioned my fish 😊 I have axolotls (salamanders) and I adore them loads, my family and friends are half and half about them (love and hate)

I have a black ghost knife fish that is absolutely gorgeous he has gold bands on him for markings and he is just a neatest thing ever

Most of these fish are hybrid breeds to make a freak show for someone's Aquarium.

My grandma can't remember the name Pleco, but thinks they look like lil arabian dolls dancing. So she calls our pleco "DOLL".

I had a bubble mollie named Chicken nugget. I was really sad when I found him half eaten. Poor buddy got stuck in the gravel somehow when I went on a two day vacation. Because he was stuck the other mollies and probably the Pleco was eating his belly. He was no longer a cubby looking fish. He didn’t live long after I removed him from that tank 💔 R.I.P

Oh man, that story about the knifefish... what do you do in that situation when they're obviously severely injured and likely won't survive? Especially with a fish that big.

Take them out and put clove oil in their gills. The most humane way to put them down.

"Knife fish" are actually a common fresh water fish and a delicacy in Bangladesh... they grow to a few of kilos.

I’m really fond of balloon mollies, they are plump and sassy 😂

Instead of producing balloon mollies, the wild type sailfin mollies should be made more available. Probably the most impressive mollies there are and nobody ever has them.

I like balloon mollies, blood parrots and plecos. I have 4 Oscar fish. I also had 2 pacu fish.They are cool fish to watch. I have them all in various sized aquarium tanks.

I agree with you that bubble eye is not supposed to be bred . It's so hard for the fish . If any one want to buy a bubble eye instead you can bye a common gold fish

I agree. I see too many people commenting they just "like" fish like bubbly eye goldfish and balloon mollies, with no mention or concern that these animals may actually suffer from their deformities and should neither be bred or bought. I also question people saying that theirs were "healthy", just because it doesn't die, doesn't mean its not suffering.

I think bristlenose pleco is a beauty in aquarium, not a bad choice

I have a pet pleco who had killed it's self but I loved her she was a cute little pleco but one day I saw her laying on the ground dead... soon I knew that she jumped right out of the tank poor little life I cried though...

Pleco look cool, like a catfish/shark hybrid. And they're hella fast! Also, Balloon Mollies look nice too honestly.

I had a male albino bristlenose. Same thing happened. He shot up for a breath of air so fast he smashed against the top and killed himself. Guess he didn’t like being in my tank.😁

I agree with how cool knife fish are. My dad had one and it was the best thing out of the entire tank.

I got to say, the clown loach is the only fish i know that looks cool if its mixed with any fish like, oscars, bass, bichir, tiger barbs, anything is good.

Love how you still make content, I let go of the freshwater fish keeps and stick to saltwater now but I still enjoy your content
