I’ll go against the grain and say that personally, if the weapon FEELS good to use, then it’s worth using as long as you can acknowledge that there are better potential options. I’m loving the epochal integration for this reason, plus it looks cool as hell

I'll second this. And follow up with there a sliding difference in hand cannon criticism depending on difficulty. You can easily still do well through heroic with a hand cannon, especially if pairing with an ability heavy build and something that does splash damage like fire/dragonfly, volt shot, etc to offset the slower ttk. It's at legend and higher that makes it truly unbearable and still really undertuned. Still, if it's your comfort pick and you don't mind slower legend lost sectors, you do you. I'd keep it out of non-matchmade under level though

Your style is sufficiently different from most of the creators out there that I think you stand out a bit from the crowd. I don't think you'd want to go much shorter than a video like this, but the amount of polish and presentation that you put into your stuff is clearly evident and works pretty well even for a video shorter than your usual fare. Good work, and you've given me some ideas. Thanks!

Honestly I loved that you reviewed these together. Often I find myself just trying to figure out what the new weapons bring to the table, but scrolling through multiple videos can be tedious and time consuming. Love this type of video, quick reviews/first impressions, but also leaves room for a deeper dive video after more roles are used/tested. Keep it up!

I think spare rations holds potential in the future for possible buffs to 150s in 140 bodies and the future adjustments to range, and I think targeted redaction can be a consistency machine

This was hugely helpful. Not too long, not a waste of time, but a genuine good "quick hit" summary of each hand cannon. Thanks for making my farming easier this season

I really liked this way of doing a video, just a flat simple explanation of what each thing brings to the table, the good and bad. I’d be down for more videos like this

New to the channel, but I like these quick and fast comparisons. A bit issues I have every season, especially when new loot comes out, is know what is actually worth chasing and what not to worry about. Please do these for as many weapons as you can.

I liked this early preview of how they MAY end up on the not-tier list. This gives a general sense early on, but not in the typical outright "MUST HAVE GOD ROLL" sense. Its a sensible discussion with no hyperbole and giving viewers an abstract of a review, which would still allow for us (as viewers) to decide whether we want to farm for X hand cannon. More of this please!

The lengthier reviews are my favorite destiny 2 content, even as a PvE player. Your weapon videos are what got me to try pvp in the first place, namely the hip fire grip syncopation. This quick and dirty is nice. But it left me with a lot of questions on perk combos that seemed to have been skipped or skimmed over without much detail why they were or weren't ideal. This type of video content might be a good overall thing, then you can break down the most interesting options later in a detailed look like you usually do.

I do like the multi-gun reviews, but I'd also love a deeper dive into the better weapons mentioned in the video. Like a more individual, in depth look, after the multi-gun video. A bonus to that means more content for you!

I actually really like this format of new weapons in a season. Nice job nomad.

Being that you have the amazing resource of the HC not-tier to build upon (and the other not-tiers), these kind of quick overviews are good. We get an easily digested video of what we should be chasing and what we should not waste our time on. Then maybe have a poll and do a deep dive on anything that your community thinks is interesting/ unique perk combo etc. Plus these videos may be easier to update, should a sandbox pass come through. Not-Tiers just need an update after a big change/annually etc.

Quick reminder: Malfeasance got a new catalyst that adds bonus range and vorpal weapon. This weapon became viable again.

Always has been viable. It's now even better.

I've been using the Combined Action static roll that you get from the Arc New Light quest in PvE and I absolutely love it. Eddy Current is kind of a miss of a perk but it's Voltshot damage is absolutely hilarious. I've been running it on my Fallen Sunstar build in PvE with two surges and it deletes adds in at-level content. It's super fun. The origin trait and Amplified help salvage its low reload making for a very fun gameplay loop.

@@benmccabe1060 agree. Three tap city. I have hammer forged, rico, moving tgt, opening shot with a stability mw. Honestly only thing I’d swap is mw for range. Slideshot is technically good, but I always get too distracted trying to time my slides and I feel like it makes me play worse. Assume the added AA from moving tgt helps with the crispiness too.

Spare rations has a bit of an interesting PVE option with kinetic tremors. With rapid hit/kinetic tremors, it's felt good and been fun to use as an unstoppable option in lost sectors, at least.

i rly like thi sformat, and would love if you even added a rating oon the not tierlist for the new guns as well, as a sort of update to the hand cannon tier list

I gotta say, Destabilizing Rounds is *very* nice on Targeted Redaction. I can't remember for the life of me what Well Rounded does, but that also came with it. That might be makint it feel so good for me, though, so if anyone wants a possible solid roll, there ya go.

Outlaw and destabilising is decent on the crafted version till you end up missing a couple of shots or don't have enough damage to kill in a mag in high end content and get stuck with that abominable reload speed. Wish it had frenzy in first column, would make the thing viable in all fronts, and if not that then demo or something to pair with frenzy in the second column. Missed opportunity to make it the first really decent pve hand cannon

I would say quick and dirty reviews like this work great if there's like a group of weapons you wanted to talk about without really getting too in depth with, but would love long form reviews for weapons that really capture you and that you're passionate about. Great vid though, as always.

As someone who loves 120’s I’m glad there’s finally a 120 in the energy slot that’s great. I love the look of the targeted and I’m really looking forward to getting it crafted and getting its ornament. And I love how good it feels, it has basically become my go to energy 120 alongside my true prophecy and loud lullaby for kinetics. I’m just hoping that with this solstice the “something new” becomes better since I love the aesthetic and a kinetic 120 feels awesome.

Re: Your question at the end, I really like this faster format giving a handful of weapons at the same time--It's a little more accessible for me ith limited time and not necessarily wanting to listen for 20/30 minutes about a single gun. Deep dives are probably still worthwhile on weapons that deserve it, whether because they're special or they have enough hype around them that the deep dive will be good.

I’m so mad at myself for missing that combined arms roll at banshee I saw it and thought the rolls didn’t change until reset!

Love this form content, with maybe the in depth single weapon breakdowns saved for the real stars of the season?

I think Rations might be getting looked over a bit, especially once the zoom changes hit. The base range isn't good and Stability workable, but definitely under par, but it rolls really strong everywhere else. 71 Handling beats the upper echelon of Kinetic 140s by a pretty wide margin for the most part. Intrinsic 100 Recoil Direction intrinsic is also not too bad, either (if generally not a huge point since 90+ is where most of it's competition is). It's aim assist is also in the same tier as Rose, Fatebringer, and Eyasluna (75 base but sights will give it +5 more often than not), and a decent margin above Austringer. Largest mags in class, too, albeit that's less of a selling point. Origin Trait can help it make up for the pretty low base range, and a Smallbore + Ricochets + Range stat package puts the Range/Stab up to 58/64 base. Little low but still very workable, especially given the Origin Trait boosting range and flinch resist for 2.5 seconds, according to Foundry. I wouldn't count it out, especially after the zoom changes (since it looks like HCs might go to Rangefinder range bands with them).

You are completely right, spare rations is mid rn but as soon as the zoom and rangefinder changes happen, people will meat ride it extremely hard, including myself.

Even with the rangefinder and zoom nerf this thing is still 20-25 range behind other better options. Spare rations is awful

I would sincerely like a deeper dive on these, if possible.

i defiantly like this better than a whole video on a single gun.. but i know a lot of people want more in depth videos on certain weapons that will out perform the other seasonal weapons. so i could reasonably see a good balance of having a video like this as soon as you could when the season is live (i know getting the weapons and then having the time to get the feel of the weapons is just time consuming, so not expecting it day one, or even day 5), and then see where the community lies on the weapons and go towards the weapons/rolls that would stand out above the rest

I never got my Explosive Payload and Moving Target Rose so I am absolutely farming my EP/Keep Away Nation of Beasts.

So for the 120 - it's why I kept a Perpetual Motion/Frenzy roll for Pure Poetry.. Feels incredible with those perks.
