In UK, it's also called the Qashqai and the bigger brother is called the X-Trail. CVT is relatively rare in the UK and most models are manual gear shift, with both a petrol and diesel engine (Diesel Renault R9M in my X-trail that does about 550 miles per tank - approx 45-50 miles per UK gallon in real use). It's quite normal to drive with a manual gearstick (six gears). Models don't have letters, but names e.g. top of the range is called the Qashqai Tekna. Level below is N-Connecta and so on. Stock X-TRail comes with Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV tyres. Interesting fact - the diesel engines all come with something called a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) fitted under EU law. This device captures all the soot emmitted from the car and once the engine gets hot enough, burns the soot to reduce emmissions. Big drawback is that if you don't drive it for at least 30 mins, at least once a week, you risk clogging the DPF and breaking your car. So it's well known - if you only drive short journeys, don't buy a diesel.

@@carsunlocked I've not driven a Rogue or Rogue sport in the US, however, with regard to Diesel engines, my 1.6 litre is turbo charged (all diesels are turbo charged) and the manual gear box means you can hold the gear longer and change when it suits you. This means ar lower revs, you do get a good pull and can keep accelerating if you don't switch gears. Equally, diesel engines don't mind being driven hard so you can keep the revs up higher, for longer, without risking damaging the engine. If you do this, it does get a bit loud though.

Just seen your video, pretty good! , I bought my Qashqai in May, after searching for the best deal between Honda HRV, Toyota HHR , ( I keep messing the letters), Hyundai Kona , and Mazda CX-3 ,. The best deal was the Qashqai for sure if you think you pay for the right thing. They could put just few more equipment to be a total great great deal ,you can’t pass on it. But just for few extra $ , a locking glove compartment, would be very useful.... The ride, the comfort, the pleasure is with the Qashqai all the way. Never thought in a million years I would buy a Nissan. My dream was having the Honda, but smaller engine and more options on the Qashqai. Nissan will sell a lots!

Hi! Be gentle with the CVT, and replace the CVT transmission fluid including both oil filters, and clean the magnets after 20000-40000 km, so it will work longer if you wish. Also, you can replace oil in the engine in a shorter period, e.g after the first 4000-5000km.

The small 115 is only going to be fine in a city environment but 140 is very fine (was driving a 2010 VW Passat 1,8TSI with 160bhp before). They could really up their game on some of the technical stuff (low res cameras which get wet in bad weather, propilot driving too much from side to side, no good place to put my phone when connected to Android Auto and the door handle in the driver side being designed so the window buttons are behind my hand and the handle is in the way of my arm when resting. Why are they leaving Iran?

They've basically changed the headlights n went back in time on the headlights. The 2017 models upwards looks better with their day time running lights as it's a strip of white LED's. On the one in the video you get a sunroof what the hell happened there? 2017 upwards you get the pan roof in a Tekna. I just feel Nissan haven't given you guys in the US n Canada much back at all n have kept with the same design to save on cost but will charge you the customer a premium for basically minor to little changes (typical of manufacturers). Don't waste your money just buy the older more cheaper version which in my view looks better. Go for the Tekna or Tekna+ from 2017 upwards it's the same car but looks better plus you get the pan roof as standard and same exact wheels the guy in the video should know this if he knows Qashqai and their ranges. However I guess over there you guys don't get the same cars as us Europeans. Same with us vice versa.

Hi there thanks for the comments. Yes I am not familiar with the European models as I have only worked at Nissan here in Canada. It's strange to me how models change from country to country however different environments have different needs

@@carsunlocked I understand you guys perhaps not had this car over there long, us here have had the car for many years, so for us there's been many iterations of that same model. Your right it's all about what the consumer wants in different locations. We here wont buy that car unless it has a pan roof as standard. You should check out our versions they're better than the 2020 version of your car. Difference we have is engine size. Ours is smaller but supposedly more efficient to reduce the carbon footprint. But bhp remains quite similar.
