Been collecting SBs since the silver box era and personally they just another normal pair of SBs. If it wasn't for Spanto's death they probably price around $200+

I honestly disagree on the “boring” aspect of these. The born and raised sb’s had the most attention to detail compared to all the other SB’s that dropped this year. Including the jarrito’s

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. These are absolutely fire and are worth the resale in my opinion. The detail and quality is amazing and one of the most stunning sb’s I’ve seen ever

For me being from the LA area and being a supporter of the BXR brand for many years they gave me an opportunity to purchase these via friends and family and I hold these in high regards. Love the colors it’s a real LA blue and the Easter eggs are dope too.

I still have my fogs high from 20 or so years ago. Brings me back! My SB of the year is the RTJ low. Always a bit spooky when a death is involved, staying on topic. Regardless of the circumstances I prefer these to the Jarritos. I just cannot get my head around the hype regarding the Jarritos.

My favorite sbs of the year. I was considering selling my travis phantom to buy them.i bought the jarritos for almost 600 and now they went down like to around 500$ so I'm hoping these will go down a bit over time

Thank you for confirming what I thought. I got flamed elsewhere for saying they're not the best SB. If Spanto hadn't died, most people wouldn't be after these.

As someone who owns the Born x Raised SB's and many other SB's, i cannot think of a better SB from this year. Between the quality and little Easter eggs + the passing of Spanto. I believe its second to none. I'm not saying you are wrong. Preference is personally subjective.....Just my two cents..

I went to my local skateshop today to enter for the SB tightbooth. I ended up buying some SB dunk Wheat, lmao. Feels good to just enter a skateshop and be able casually purchase SB Dunks again.

I got my b&r dunks a few days ago from GOAT. I payed $500, not a bad price. It was between these and the jarritos. Let's just say I don't have the jarritos lol, you can tell what MY sb dunk of the year was 😁

These are nice I recently bought the yuto sbs for my first sb ever and I love them they look amazing and feel great hoping I can get these soon love to put the pink lace in them

8 or 9 out of 10 sneakerhead addicts liked these Nike SB dunk low Born & Raised. Almost all the criteria has on these shoes. The quality materials used are fantastic(leather and soft blue suede), the details on these sneakers are so nice and amazing( so many nice details: holographic Nike swoosh at the side panel & "BORN" to "NIKE" SB at the heel tab are amazing), the storytelling of these shoes do have an impact to each community around the world(Mr. Chris Spanto legacy to the community of L.A.) he's against "gentrification"; spreading his message thru this sneaker, the colorway absolutely so beautiful... royal blue & white are perfect(still suits almost all outfit), and one of the few sneakers wherein people(sneakerheads addict) are lining up outside just to buy a pair on these hype and overrated shoes...that's crazy! So is it the sneaker of the Year? Absolutely! Even if you watched most topic on KZread about these Nike SB dunk Born & Raised majority of the vloggers are admitting that these are the sneakers of the year(2023).😊

I think the Born and Raised is really well done but I just can’t pay the price tag. I have the flystreet wear so I havnt had any urge. I think if you have the LA Dodgers from the bubble gum pack, you should be satisfied too.

I almost always agree but not this time and we aren’t even on the same planet. These are to me the best sb drop in a minute. Maybe since the lobsters. I just paid $650 straight on eBay had a coupon that ate the tax etc and they on goat and every other site for basically $800 so I’m super stocked and feel like I got a deal. To me you are tripping w this review but I still respect your opinion.

to me these are the best SBs of the year but not worth the price they are now maybe 400 max and even then thats too much. But the people reselling these for 1k after the passing of Spanto and taking advantage of his death i feel ruined these for alot of people

Don’t like the material coming off the swoosh and the rest of the SB drops this year a hard pass for me 👍 unless white lobster drops to the public then my list would be shifted by one 🤪🤩

Jarritos are definitely more in your face than these. But I think saying they're boring is a bit of a stretch. Unique to box perforations, unique top eyelet design, holographic details, leather liner, semi-transparent outsole, lettering on the toe caps, unique tongue tags, unique lace options all add up to something that seems difficult to describe as boring. Understated..? maybe

They are not boring but jarritos and Yuto Horigome SB in my opinion , even Crenshaw SB are better . I think the born have to much going on almost to the point of a novelty shoe. DISCLAIMER - Copped my pair for 98.98 pound sterling in a US11 🤭🤭🎉 Mad year of W’s on the sb drops for retail for me except the supreme dunk still chasing it in a US11 for a decent price if anyone has 🙏 😢🤦‍♂️ ❤
