I believe we are in the Second Golden Age of Slot Cars. Between COVID and the internet, it brought together many of us that we were the only ones still playing with the toys of our youth. I also believe it has brought many new to and back to slot cars. See where we are in 10 years. Keep up the great work of spreading the Slot Car word.

Love it champ. I too have recently rediscovered the hobby after moving to the Sunshine Coast at the end of 2021. I uncovered the stuff packing up my old home of 30 years. It's now much bigger & digitalised due to a bit of a cash injection 😬

Awesome. After a couple of decades of PS/Xbox racing games, seems we're finally returning to our roots. And these newer digital 132 sets are next level fun for all the family. Even my wife and daughter love it. In fact it turns out my wife is the one to beat, with her little red #10 Ferrari. I'll keep modding and practicing, though. Cheers, mate. 😎🏁

Thank you, glad you’re enjoying my silly nonsense. I was exactly where you are about to be. Hadn’t done slot cars since I was 14. But let me tell you, jumping back into the hobby was a great decision. The digital carrera sets and the race software that you can add to the mix take it to a whole new level, vastly more exciting, interesting & addictive than ever before. And best of all, it’s for all ages. Get the family involved and you’ll find it brings you all together like a Sunday roast dinner. After 2 years I’m even more engaged and can’t see myself getting sick of it anytime soon. So take your time with it and learn how to improve the performance of the cars (very important). You’re in for a real treat. Enjoy!

@HughesGarage. I noticed three carerra bridge sections. Where did you get them in 1:32 scale? I have only been able to find them in 1:43 scale. Very cool addition to your raceway layout. Oh by the way awesome track and I’m James from Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas.

You refer to the Carrera Go 1:43 suspension bridge, right? I couldn't find anything to scale either, so just made a similar thing, on a whim, out of scrap timber leftovers to fit the 1:24 scale track. It turned out better than expected so I made 2 more smaller ones to match. The logo stickers were more leftovers from the Carrera garages. Will be adding some lights and weathering etc. Hey, first place I ever set foot in the US was Dallas airport 2012. My daughter and I stood transfixed and marveled at those massive gigantic escalators they have there, while the security guys wondered what the hell we were up to. 😂 Then just 2 hours after we departed for Orlando, a tornado swept through Dallas and literally flipped over some of the planes. It was on the news as we checked in at the Disney Resort. What a shocker!

I am on the south side and would really like to have a drive on your track. I have a 4 lane wood track, packed up my Carrera until I have more space
