My russian blue is the cutest, most cuddly, intelligent and hygienic boy! His purr is so loud it wakes my bf up at least twice a night LOL but he loves to lay on my back, purr loudly, sniff my hair, knead on me, and cuddle with me! He jumps up in my bathroom shelf when im in there bcuz he likes to stay near me. He caught a bird once that got into the house but he didn't kill it and just put it down and it played dead and escaped him. Lmao. He's always cleaning himself, sleeping, or purring and being a sweetie!

My Russian blue is the most adorable sweet cat ever.

My russian blue is the most sweet, smart, hygenic, calm but playful, and a very loving boy. Whenever I wake up and he's sleeping next to me he always rolls onto his back and greets me with a purr-meow. His purr is so loud. I love him.

I love my Russian Blues! I had a beautiful baby who was about 16 when he passed and now I have another sweet girl! I will never have another cat other than a Russian Blue as long as I live. They are so sweet, loving, and just the absolute best friend anyone could ask for.

I’ve noticed Russian blue cats can go either way for people. In my opinion, they are very communicate cats, so this my present itself as heightened vocalization. They may not be as vocal as other cats, but the vocalizations they make always have a very specific inflection. The intentional quality of their vocalizations, definitely makes it feel like there’s more of them! My Russian blue is pretty vocal, but is also really adept at non-verbal communication. He nudges his head towards certain things. He’s also once made a lunging motion towards his litter box when I forgot to clean it that night lol. If he thinks I should stop trying to avoid bedtime, he will jump on my chest and look into my eyes a certain way. I think Russian blues are good candidates for teaching some basic sign-language terms. I taught him a few words like “later,” “yes,no,” and “outside,” and he picked on them quicker then verbal versions of the same word!

It seems like cats generally vocalize more with humans than with each other, so having just one cat-and especially talking to that one pet- would probably make for a more talkative cat. Had two boys that were feral their first year. The one that was more sociable with us was quiet for the first 8 years he had his brother around. Once the brother passed, he started speaking a lot more.

Female Russian Blue?

Yes they’re perfect! We adopted 2 originally from a shelter but one of them died around three months after we got her. But we just adopted another Russian blue and these two cats love each other so much! Their names are Pickle and Portia and they are always purring and love playing with hair ties ❤ I’m allergic to cats and Russian blues are an amazing pet if you’re allergic 💖💖💖

I have a Russian blue named sir Lancelot and he’s the sweetest cat I’ve ever had! I definitely recommend this breed of cat

I never cared for cat until I met my sister Russian blue name rocky I fell in love with him the minute I saw him sister got him from the from recuse shelter I spend more time with used crack me up with some of the things he did he was a sweet and beautiful never bite or scratch anybody had him almost 20 years as time went by we found out he got kidney disease and gave him meds to slow down the disease but he only lasted two years worst part we put him down on st paddy’s day I’m full of grief and miss him like heck my heart has big hole in it right now I still look for him in the house to see if he comes back to see me one last time goodbye rocky I will always love you forever❤❤❤❤

They are the silliest and have such weird behaviors 😂😂

But my Russian blue cat is really vocal. He meows so loudly that my game buddy can hear him through my microphone 😂

Ch good news! If u live in the EU there's already a swisd cat allergy Vax on the market! If u live in the us it's coming onto the market next year! If it continues to pass safety requirements! I think u put the med on the cat? I've severe cat allergies but won't give up my baby for anything!

I have a russian blue, his name is Bert and he’s the sweetest! 10/10 recommend having one.

May not have been a purebred RB then. I own 3 RB cats and I brush them once a week only to pull out like zero hair lol.

I have two 17 y.o. neutered brothers who are "blues". They' been great pets! One is outgoing and affectionate, the other a total loner except for me and his brother whom he barely tolerates. They are very smart and talkative with me... especially if they want a snack! I found them and their mom in a culvert under our road when they were babies and they pretty much tamed themselves.

Most of these cats are domestic short hair with grey. Pure breed Russian Blues are very rare.

They are not relatively quiet at all lol they are one of the most talkative breeds

Cursed fun fact The Ukrainian Levkoy is a cat breed that is mostly bald due to them being man made which is confusing since russian blues and the ukrainian levkoys should have similar fur fluffiness due to the cold
